When Christians celebrate Easter, you see eggs and hares/rabbits as part of the tradition. Eggs and hares are symbols of fertility. And Easter the word originates from Eostre or Ostara who was a goddess representing spring, dawn, rebirth and a return of light. Also Ishtara.

Yule logs, gift giving, evergreen trees? They are all taken from Pagan roots, to make conversion easier. Christians didn't just do this to the winter solstice, which many Pagan cultures celebrated, essentially every "Christian holiday" has "borrowed" (stolen) from the Pagans.

Christ's Mass, or Christmas, the holiday in which Christians celebrate the birth of Jesus Christ was originally not on December 25th, but was changed to that date to coincide with Roman solstice festivals like Sol Invictus and Saturnalia.
