From Iwo-Road Ibadan to Osogbo… Now 2 hours 20 minutes… If you don’t drive against traffic and through one-way. That road is now very very very terrible!!!! From Alakia to Asejire, you cannot drive for 10 secs straight without applying brake, After that Asejire, the same thing till you reach Gbongan. You cannot drive smoothly for 20 seconds non stop. That road is a menace.

@abdussamadd A new down in Nigeria's politics. The Sokoto politician is setting the phase for real youth participation in politics. The defining moment is 2027 for the actualization of this democracy revival. Congratulations, Hon. Abdulssamad Dasuki on this bold step.

It’s not a lie. Kolapo Alimi was an active APC member, yet he got rewarded under Governor Adeleke’s administration. Many SAs, SSAs, HR, etc got rewarded while the PDP online Noisemarkers were neglected😂 Even the one who didn’t participate got rewarded at the PARTY. It happens everywhere seh😂
Banks Omisore@MrBanksOmisore

Na lie. Then stop complaining if it happens everywhere. Look at Wike, he worked hard, rose through the ranks in PDP, and even became a leader in APC while complaining of being a regular member in PDP, because he knows APC will rather reward a PDP member than an APC noise maker lol.

We had Pa Obafemi Awolowo; a visionary who laid the intellectual and developmental foundation of the South-West. Many believed leadership in the region ended with him. Then came Chief MKO Abiola, whose 1993 presidential victory though annulled united the South-West like never before. After him emerged Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu, whose political structure and strategy reshaped the region’s influence in national politics. History shows that leadership in the South-West evolves by generations. After Asiwaju, another great leader will rise; it’s only a matter of time and season.

@Adebanjosanya3 @Imranmuhdz The older and the more experienced, the better, in the hallowed chamber of the National Assembly. There may be another underlying reason, not the youth "kinikan".

I have decided not to seek re-election to the House of Representatives in 2027. - Hon. Abdussamad Dasuki. Hon. Abdussamad Dasuki, currently serving as the representative for the Kebbe/Tambuwal Federal Constituency in the House reps, has formally declared that he will not pursue re-election to the House of Representatives in the 2027 elections. He described this choice as a personal sacrifice aimed at providing an opportunity for younger Nigerians to take on leadership roles. His statement reads: “Since 2011, I have been privileged to serve you in the State House of Assembly, in the House of Representatives, and in the State Executive Council. In these roles, I sponsored bills, moved motions and initiated policies that sought to bring security to our communities, empowerment to our youth and women, prosperity to our people, and development to our state and nation. “I stood, side by side, with like-minded colleagues to push for the reform of our political and governance structures because we knew that our dear state and Nigeria could be better, and that we must be the ones to make it so. Also, because we believed that the system must evolve to reflect the needs and dreams of a new generation. “The Nigeria we yearn for is only possible through sacrifice. Accordingly, after due consultation with my team, our leader, my family and most importantly, my conscience, I have decided not to seek reelection to the House of Representatives in the 2027 general election. This decision is not born out of fatigue, nor is it born out of disillusionment. It is borne out of a higher calling - one that transcends ambition or position. It is a decision rooted in belief, in hope, in a future we all desire to see. It is a personal sacrifice, a deliberate response to the noble call sounded by a project I helped birth, a cause I deeply believe in - the Future is Now Project. “On October 1, 2025, as Nigeria celebrated her 65th Independence Anniversary, something remarkable happened at the Nicon Luxury Hotel in Abuja, venue of the unveiling of the Future Is Now Project. A communique emerged from that gathering - a powerful, united voice from across our nation, calling for real, meaningful inclusion of young Nigerians in governance. “It was not just a declaration. It was a call to action. It was not just a dream. It was a demand for intergenerational justice that the time for youth leadership is now, not tomorrow, not in some distant future, but now. “The declaration by the Future Is Now Project was not only a call to action, but a challenge - a challenge to those of us who have had the honor to serve, to lead, and to occupy seats of influence. “And as the interim chairman and a promoter of this youth advocacy initiative, I cannot in good conscience ignore the message we put forward. Among many bold resolutions, we committed to ensuring that 70% of House of Representatives seats are occupied by young Nigerians under 40 years of age in the next general election. I am still a youth by all standards, but I have crossed that 40 years threshold we have proposed for the House of Representatives. I am of the strong conviction that if we are to give meaning to our words, if we are to inspire the trust and belief of the generation coming after us, then we must be willing to sacrifice, pay a heavy price, bear a burden. “This, my dear constituents, is that sacrifice. And so I choose to make space for the vision we proclaimed. And so, with conviction in my spirit, I say: I will not seek reelection into the House of Representatives in the next election. I will make way. “I remain deeply committed to the development of our constituency, Sokoto state and the nation at large. I will continue to champion the cause of our children’s education because their future is the true wealth of our land. I will continue to support our women, youth and empower them because when the hands of our people are strong, our state and nation stand tall. I will continue to speak out, to build, to guide, and to serve wherever and whenever the opportunity arises. I will continue to be at the table where the policies are canvassed and diligently pursued for the good of our communities, state and nation. “None of these achievements would have been possible without the unwavering support of my political mentor and leader, His Excellency, Senator Aminu Waziri Tambuwal. A man who saw potential in a young man, supported my political aspirations and gave me opportunity to serve in his cabinet. I am forever grateful to him for believing in me and for allowing me to lead and to learn. “To my constituents, you gave me your trust, and I carried it like a badge of honor. You opened your homes, your hearts, and your hopes to me. And for that, I am eternally grateful. I seek your support in enabling this groundbreaking transition to a new era. The road ahead will not be easy, there will be trials and challenges, all surmountable by the unification of our purpose – a better Nigeria spearheaded by the young, vibrant and able. “To the youth of this constituency, Sokoto state and Nigeria: The time is now! “No more waiting. No more excuses. No more silence. Take your place. Stand tall. Lead with courage, with integrity, with vision. Do not imitate the worst of the past. Build the best of the future. “As I step aside, I wish to bequeath a new legacy in Nigeria’s political history, one that showcases a crop of leaders who know when to exit, paving the way for a fresher generation; youth with the energy and vision to reengineer our country’s future. Serving you has been the greatest honour of my life. “God bless our youth. God bless Kebbe/Tambuwal Federal Constituency. God bless our dear state And God bless the Federal Republic of Nigeria.”

@Imranmuhdz That’s a rare kind of move in Nigerian politics, stepping aside to make space for the next generation. More of this spirit, fewer lifetime politicians. #OmoOlofaIna
