The only real way to get our civilisation back on a path where the production of goods and services is valued, rather than secondary industries that don't produce anything (like finance) being valued, is to 1) Return to sound money & 2) Raise interest rates to 10%+

Why is proof of work important? Because humans can break any laws made by humans but none made by physics.

@rationalaussie The 463 day thing is dead. Stock to flow simply is. Bitcoin has a stock to flow ratio, it hardens every 4 years, the market takes another x days/months/years to catch up.

It's trivial for central banks (or the WEF/IMF) to control any PoS consensus system - this vuln is why stake-based BFT was never an option for Satoshi. Get everyone onto Eth, then switch on the IMF monetary policy (KYC, carbon, vax) and it becomes the hip new CBDC for the kids.

Literally every single Bitcoiner since October 2008 has been fully aware that governments will try to kill it because it kills their ability to print money. That's the whole reason it's PoW and not PoS.

Stake based BFT is nothing new, it was the best way to run a distributed system long before Bitcoin; Satoshi etc were deeply familiar with the failure modes, that's why they used PoW.

PoS is not, it's been around for thousands of years and the failure modes are well known. Continually forking away the censor = users must follow the correct authority, a non-starter.
