Meeting between Prime Minister Muhammad Shehbaz Sharif and the Crown Prince of Saudi Arabia. Prime Minister Muhammad Shehbaz Sharif, called on His Royal Highness Prince Mohammed bin Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud, Crown Prince and Prime Minister of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia this evening. The Prime Minister was accompanied by Deputy Prime Minister & Foreign Minister Sen. Mohammad Ishaq Dar. During their warm and cordial meeting that lasted almost two hours, the two leaders held detailed discussions on the evolving regional situation. The Prime Minister expressed full solidarity and support for the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia in the wake of the recent regional escalation. He conveyed deep condolences over the loss of precious lives and said the people of Pakistan stand shoulder to shoulder with their Saudi brethren. The Prime Minister appreciated the exemplary patience and restraint shown by the Kingdom, led by His Royal Highness the Crown Prince, whose leadership in the current crisis was a source of strength for all peace loving people in the Kingdom and beyond. The Prime Minister shared with His Royal Highness the Crown Prince the recent developments related to Pakistan's peace efforts that led to the U.S.- Iran ceasefire and the recently held round of historic talks between the U.S. and Iran in Islamabad. His Royal Highness the Crown Prince appreciated the constructive role of Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif and Field Marshal Syed Asim Munir in the peace process. While exchanging views on bilateral issues, the Prime Minister expressed his sincere appreciation for His Royal Highness the Crown Prince for the Kingdom's consistent support to Pakistan's economic stability. The Prime Minister also highlighted that Pakistan and the Kingdom enjoyed a unique relationship as they were both strategic defense partners under the Pakistan- Saudi Arabia Strategic Mutual Defence Agreement. Both leaders expressed their shared commitment for continuing close cooperation on matters of mutual interest.

I had the pleasure and honour of meeting my dear brother, His Royal Highness Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman, in Jeddah today. During the course of which, I conveyed Pakistan’s unwavering solidarity with the Kingdom and expressed my deep appreciation of its patience and restraint, under the sagacious leadership of His Royal Highness, in these challenging times. I also shared recent developments related to Pakistan’s peace efforts which helped facilitate the U.S.–Iran ceasefire and historic peace talks in Islamabad. I reiterated Pakistan’s firm commitment to advancing its efforts to encourage both the U.S. and Iran towards an agreement aimed at lasting peace and stability in the region. Grateful to His Royal Highness, for his support of Pakistan's sincere peace efforts. During my warm and constructive discussions with His Royal Highness, I also expressed sincere appreciation for the Kingdom’s consistent support for Pakistan’s economic stability, while highlighting the unique defence and security relationship between our two countries. We reaffirmed our commitment to further strengthening our enduring partnership.
