Wike has started talking. He has started talking how the Osun @OfficialAPCNg got the LG judgement. And he is daring APC. He is sending a message to Tinubu that Rivers state belongs to him and anybody who put his/her fingers would be burnt. I have told you all, all the evil Tinubu and APC did during the 2023 elections Wike would reveal all, it is just a question of time. Both of them are selfish and evil, so it is natural they must end up fighting. We will just watch them fight the fight. #Unmutedthepodcast #tegatalks

The last time a Democrat was Governor of Ohio was 16 years ago. The last time Democrats held the majority in the Ohio State House was 16 years ago. The last time Democrats held the majority in the Ohio State Senate was 45 YEARS AGO. If you have an issue with policy in Ohio, you have an issue with Ohio Republicans.
Vivek Ramaswamy@VivekGRamaswamy

Democrats like to talk about “affordability” and “funding for public schools,” yet the policies they push are what create the affordability & education crises in the first place.

@Advsola He doesn’t have the support of the house. He couldn’t hold down a faction to support him. Imagine a whole sitting governor with huge resources at his disposal not being able to entice half of the members of the house of assembly.

The first evidence of Fubara’s weakness is his inability to “get” atleast 15 members of the house of assembly to his side. A governor of a whole Rivers State fa.

@CumLaude90 @iamtenseven @Advsola Very relate. After the re-election of Sanwo-Olu, why did speaker dropped more than 15 of his commissioners? Why did Sanwo-Olu failed in his attempt to removed speaker and his deputy?

@iamtenseven @Advsola False equivalence. In Lagos, the emperor (Tinubu) controls the treasury and state IGR, not the governor. In Rivers, the sitting governor controls state finances.

@CumLaude90 @iamtenseven @Advsola This is the foundation of the rivers crisis, Wike was controlling the state Treasury before. The problem started when gov notices that the RSIRS head was not answerable to him but Wike.

@Advsola Easy to say,..Wike has been Governor for 8 years, wike bought the party ticket for All the Assembly Members, wike is also a serving Minister..And you expect a Governor to withing 2 years buy 15 members over..If it were another state, the Governor would have been gone.

@BashirAhmaad You should be tagged a religious extremist, what difference does tagging her a Muslim make? It is a crime if it is any minor female. You need to stop this religion bigotry that you subtle promote. You are fast becoming a dangerous individual

It is reassuring to read reports that a court has issued an arrest warrant for a Department of State Services (DSS) officer, Mr. Ifeanyi Festus, who is alleged to have committed grave human-rights violations. According to the allegations, the officer abducted a minor Muslim girl, Walida Sani, from Jigawa, subjected her to forced religious conversion and committed repeated acts of sexual abuse that resulted in pregnancy. The case further alleges that a medical procedure was carried out at a hospital in Abuja because of complications related to her age. While the matter remains before the courts but the issuance of an arrest warrant sends an important signal that no individual is above the law. It also reflects the justice system’s responsibility to protect vulnerable persons, uphold freedom of religion and ensure accountability for serious allegations of abuse. Many will be watching closely as this legal process unfolds, hoping it leads to truth, justice and stronger safeguards against such violations.

It's established now that Yoruba Nesan activists, and #ThinkYorubaFirst , activists have a narrow view shaped by religious activism on what the Yoruba people are, and how diverse their experiences is. Let us give an example of a colossus of the 20th century. This picture shows Alhaja Alarape Busari, followed by Alhaja Humuani Alaga and Alhaja Sherifat Mobayonle Ajadi. This was during the warm welcome for pilgrims returning from Makkah in the 60's. Alhaja Humuani Alaga was a famous businesswoman in the 20th century. She was born to the family of Alfa Alaga and Adamu Ladebo Alaga in 1907. She accompanied her parents on trading expeditions to Lagos, EjigboC Ogbomosho, Osogbo in sale of beads and textiles. She got married to an Egba man, Sanusi Oshinusi, an Egba man at 18, and started hawking textiles after her marriage in 1925, because she was considered too young to own a shop. She later established in Gbagi, becoming a dealer to G.B OllivantF John Holt and UAC. By 1934, she was made Iya Egbe Alaso. (Leader of Textile dealers). She built a mosque in Sango, and founded the Isabatudeen Society in 1958. In 1938, she led a protest of Women Cotton Trade Union against Lebanese merchants undercutting women traders. This forced Ibadan chiefs to force Lebanese traders to put an end to the sharp practice. In 1953, she led a delegation of Ibadan Textile Association to Mapo Hall to protest to the Municipal council. She also led the movement that prevented the movement of Adugbo market marching to Olubadan Yesufu Kobiowu's palace and got reprieve. She co-founded the National Council of Women Societies in 1959. She was elected President in 1961. She was one of the founders of the Action Group Women's Wing in 1953, working with the likes of Tanimowo Ogunlesi, Wuraola Esan , TT Solaru and HID Awolowo. Alhaja Humuani Alaga led Fola Ighodalo (mother of Asue and Ituah Ighodalo), the first Woman Permanent Secretary of Western-Region, and other women in Civil service to the Governor demanding that pay parity be ensured regardless of gender. That advocacy led to changes in lives of women in civil service. Alhaja Humuani Alaga after experiencing the humiliation of the delay given to her daughter, in registering in St Anne's Ibadan, that required conversion before admission, called for a meeting of her Isabatudeen group and narrated her bitter experience. That incident led to the founding of the first All-Muslim girls school in Ibadan. The Isabatudeen Girls Grammar School founded in 1964. The Western Region initially refused to grant approval for the school, and the Isabatudeen Society protested until later when new Premier Samuel Ladoke Akintola intervened and gave approval. Don't be surprised seeing these louts abusing children and grandchildren of Alhaja Humuani Alaga, of being Fulani slaves, even though their matriarch is the reason SW has gender pay parity.

@Gidi_Traffic @SamzyVG Constabulary police i.e community police. They are only attached to the divisions within the localities; their welfare & remuneration are from the state govt. I don't think this is wrong Sha because we are all clamouring for the security architecture to be rooted within people

My son was 16 when he was hit by a drunk driver. He was in a coma for 3 months. The neurologist sat us down in a sterile conference room and laid out the scans. 'His brain stem is intact,' he said gently. 'But the rest... it’s dark. If he wakes up, he will be a vegetable. He will never speak, never know you, never feed himself. You need to consider long-term care facilities.' We refused. We brought him home. We set up a hospital bed in the living room. We played his favorite Led Zeppelin records. We read him comic books. We talked to him for 12 hours a day. Six months later, I was shaving his face, telling him a bad dad joke. He didn't just smile. He laughed. A croaky, dry laugh. Then he looked at me and said, 'That wasn't funny, Dad.' Today, he is finishing his engineering degree. He walks with a cane, but he walks. The doctor calls him an 'anomaly.' I call him a fighter. Never let a statistic determine your destiny.
