@Rightanglenews @AmazonFresh does the same thing with their chicken. I can always expect the “net wight” to be at least a half pound over than the chicken actually weighs. At first I suspected my scale, but other bands are correct. Very shady.

It depends. If you live in a rent controlled apartment then the answer is no. The owner would have to eat the new tax. If you don't have rent control then yes, expect the owner to pass on at least some of the tax burden onto your next lease. On principle, I would ask you to vote no though. Muni should not be getting any more money.
