I don't get the GST credit. My household makes too much to qualify for the Canada Child Benefit. I've never used EI. I can afford more than $10-a-day for child care. But I support @JustinTrudeau & all these government programs because I'm not an asshole. #Canada #CdnPoli 🇨🇦

@MPelletierCIO It's the Big Tent Effect. Carney's centre-right. Many Liberals or moderate NDP supporters like Carney b/c he's competent & pragmatic. Similarly, pre-Trump conservatives prefer Carney over Poilievre's extremism. Young adult voters are fickle & they're going moderate too.

@BenMulroney Interest rates haven't been "high": They were normalized after decades of being (mostly) artificially-low. That period of low rates created a housing crisis & a bloated market that still is hampering the economy. Young workers can't afford to live in cities & that hurts us all.

Well, I would say that self inflicted wounds have been exacerbated by tariffs: Population growth has outpaced job creation, high interest rates have slowed the economy, and regulatory and tax burdens have hampered the private sector from reaching its full job creating potential.
