A neighbor crossed the street today to speak with me & my son. This man noticed how often we're outside playing with a ball. We found out he's a dad of an 11 y.o. boy with Down Syndrome who loves all things sports. Without hesitation, my son said, "I'd love to meet him; we can play." We walked over to their home, my son happily engaged with this boy, and we set a play date for next week. I'm so proud of my son. To me, his success in life is founded upon kindness and the inclusion of all.
