Burnaboy is supposed to supposed to support me financially, I paved the way for him — Singer Sky B laments Veteran Nigerian singer SkyB has expressed disappointment over what he describes as a lack of support from current Port Harcourt artistes, especially those he claims he helped build up during the early stages of their careers. Speaking on the KAA Truth podcast, SkyB said he played a key role in promoting the Port Harcourt music scene and supported several artistes, including Mr. 2Kay and Timaya, during his active years. However, he alleged that many of those he assisted have since distanced themselves from him after achieving fame. He also directed criticism at Grammy-winning singer Burna Boy, claiming that the global star has not acknowledged or supported those who paved the way for the industry in Port Harcourt. “What is annoying me most now is Burna Boy coming into limelight and not remembering me and those who paved the way for Port Harcourt musicians,” he said. “He is supposed to support me financially or collaborate with me to rejuvenate my career.” SkyB further claimed that he assisted several artistes in the past and even facilitated opportunities for them, but said he now feels abandoned. He also suggested that regional bias may be affecting the level of support he receives compared to artistes from other parts of Nigeria. The singer maintained that recognition and assistance from industry figures like Burna Boy would help revive his career and acknowledge the contributions of early pioneers in Port Harcourt’s music industry.

My Wife Must Know How to Cook, I’m A Traditional Man— Singer Zerry DL Speaks on Marriage Expectations During a recent episode of You, Me & A Glass of Wine hosted by Jima Emmanuel, Zerry DL shared his views on relationships and marriage. When asked if he was in a relationship, the singer replied that he was not, but added that discussions about his future wife were a serious matter. “No, I’m not in a relationship, but if you’re talking about my wife, it’s something serious.” The interviewer then asked whether he would mind if his wife did not know how to cook. Zerry DL responded that he would, insisting that his wife must know how to cook. “I mind. She must know how to cook.
