Guys, I’m an idiot. All this time I’ve spent trying not to die, I had toxic turf in my backyard. Artificial turf contains crumb rubber infill made from recycled tires, which leaches chemicals including PFAS, heavy metals, and polycyclic aromatic hydrocarbons. These compounds are linked to hormone disruption, carcinogenicity, and systemic inflammation. I don’t know how I missed it. It makes me question my basic competence in life. What gets me is that I try so hard to survey the world of potential idiocy. Then I find out there’s a monument to idiocy sitting right in front of my face that I was blind to. I’m removing the turf, yet I’m still stuck with this seemingly unsolvable problem of how to not be an idiot.

I didn’t want to do this because I feel weird however I went back to work asap after the surgery and the doctors told me I have to go back out on medical because it’ll hinder the progress of immunotherapy treatment. I went back to work to try to catch up on bills as well as the medical bills. I can’t tell you how much I appreciate if you would also share it and get it out there. Again I feel backward doing this and tried my best to do everything I could to keep up with everything, I also don’t wanna have the financial problems dumped on my wife who is doing everything she can to make sure utilities are paid as well as healthy food and also making sure I can get afford my medicine and generally making me as comfortable as she can. She has been my greatest support and a when I’m sick from the treatments she has been a great source of love and comfort. My family has also done so much for me and made sure I also had healthy food as well as help with bills… I am facing this thing head on and burning the candle at both ends trying to work and keep up with bills and unfortunately Pennsylvania thinks that 200 a week is good for disability. Sorry for this rant, I thank you all in advance and I pray that you all remain healthy and safe and again I cannot stress this enough, if you have a history of Cancer in your family please go get a genetic blood test and they can identify cancer markers and this is wonderful because it can help you prepare and get ahead of it. I have MSH6 also know as lynch syndrome which unfortunately targets the women in my family and can cause breast/ovarian and colon cancer. I am unfortunately the only male that has it which is the best worst case scenario because it means that I can skip chemo and radiation and do immunotherapy. At my age both chemo and radiation would sterilize me and I want children as well as give me cancer again down the line and not to mention the toll it would take on my organs, unfortunately the MSH6 cancer maker means I also have a elevated risk of cancer down the line but the best part is is that now with the known cancer markers and triggers I can get ahead of this thing and change my habits for the better. Please I cannot stress it enough please get screen led for cancer and the genetic testing. Cancer don’t have an age limit and it’s showing up in younger and younger people and I don’t want anyone to go through shit… it’s gonna be a long long road to recovery. I have a cat scan next month and will be told whether or not it has spread to my prostate… again I’m sorry for this long winded post and I want to thank my wife, my family as well as her family for the love and support they have given me as well as Caroline who helped set this up. The things I did wrong when I first started carnivore: Nothing. I ate all the fatty red meat I wanted. I ate all the eggs I wanted. I ate all the butter I wanted. I used all the salt I wanted. I drank all the water I wanted. I listened to my body tell me what it needed. And in six months, my body changed so much that I didn't even recognize myself anymore. New record low blood sugar for myself since I started carnivore diet. It works. This is in the morning, before eating anything, about 12 hours since I ate anything. I used to have readings between 130 to 160 around this time. Meat, eggs, fish, water and unsweetened iced tea.
