@daisy_flatman is developing new zebrafish models for cerebral small vessel disease. She is using these zebrafish to understand the biological mechanisms leading to haemorrhagic stroke, and how we could use drugs to protect against them.

My first ever research paper is out !! 👩🏼‍🔬🎉 👉👉pubmed.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/38327788/ A natural product "brazilin" inhibits the NLRP3 inflammasome pathway, a key driver of numerous inflammatory human diseases including those affecting the brain such as stroke and dementia.
