I cannot recommend becoming a CFR enough. The quality of training from #TeamWAST is second to none. Being able to help someone in their absolute moment of need, makes the time invested absolutely worth while. Great CPD today, especially Paediatric BLS. Cheers @WelshAmbulance

@robertgmason @jasonkillens Indeed - I take your point. Troubleshooting the challenges faced by public services shouldn't begin by looking at how the end-user uses them, although it is a contributing factor. How do you see change happening? What's needed to improve services?

@dajchin @jasonkillens The biggest misuser of ambulance resources is the NHS itself, hospital delays being one example. The ambulance service is able to easily triage these patients when they call and very little resource is expended. Using these examples to demonstrate misuse is counterproductive.

@robertgmason @jasonkillens I don't agree, there's no shaming here. You do make a valid point worth discussing, however.. 'The appropriate use of emergency services.' Surely, engaging with the public on as many platforms and having open & informative dialogue will promote a better #HelpUsHelpYou culture?

@jasonkillens Shaming the public you serve, especially those at the bottom of society who need the help of our public services the most, will not reduce demand from those most vulnerable but will dissuade those who are reluctant to call for help when they are facing a genuine medical emergency

So who should be giving way to who here? This truck driver said he saw me as he was already halfway turning across #Cycleway4. It's my understanding from the Highway Code rule H3 that just because you're in a truck it doesn't exempt you from stopping and waiting....

Post @WelshAmbulance CFR shift update..... The best bit of learning/news from today was when I discovered that the NMA has a toggle to manually turn on #NightMode. I cannot begin to explain how chuffed I was. I even think that I cheered a bit 👏
