The great summer of 1990 and the World Cup in Italy. This was, for me, the last tournament (apart from Euro 96) I’ve watched; I just haven’t been interested in International football, whether it was World Cups or the Euros. It must be an age thing I’m 58 because I loved the World Cups of 78, 82, 86 and 90. So this year's World Cup, I’m just not interested what so ever, too many teams and too many host countries. Along with VAR, terrible commentators and stupid kick off times, it just doesn’t appeal to me!

Also a format that can be reduced if need be due to bad weather. Would break up 7 or 8 champ rounds in a row which for smaller squads which makes it impossible to be competitive for the whole year… Play 2 rounds of champ cricket during the 100.

Well aware I’ll get heat for this but just my opinion… Play 50 over cricket at the start of the summer. Allows everyone to play it unless in IPL etc. Best format of the game to develop young players and physically prepare people for champ cricket… 10 over spells, batsmanship,
