@gullmourne I do and sometimes roll digital dice. I use whatever tool I need to run a great game.
English

@MichaelDugan2nd Good point. I feel that I need to take a step back and try to see what is happening through their eyes. Wouldn’t it be so awesome to know exactly how players feel about your game whether good or bad?
English

@dallazkatt Then if you’ve got player expectations, I’d let them handle the reigns. If they don’t remember a bit of the plot, it’s usually not something that they considered important or interesting enough?
But keep in mind, it can be very fun to spring stuff on forgetful players!
English

@galahadtom Good point. I still wonder. Should they remember each and every thing that relates to their pc or should I always need to remind them. This question is mostly to help myself feel better about my GMing style 😛
English

@MichaelDugan2nd This is true also. My situation is different. I’m using a module and trying to make it more player plot/backstory driven. This all comes from place of expectations from my players.
English

@dallazkatt Depends on if you lean more “player-driven” or “plot-driven”
An adventure module? The GM should probably take the reigns on tracking the story.
A west marches or sandbox game lives and does based on what the players want to do, so if they track it they’re much more invested!
English

@halflingtrouble 2/2. I’m trying to determine if it’s my GM style or my expectations of the investment of the players.
English

@halflingtrouble 1/2. I agree. Players should keep track of everything that relates to their character/backstory/personal affect. “Should” is a heavy word. I’ve run into problems in the past where players for whatever reason miss character focus on themselves within the story.

@aGhostofeli I’m alll honestly I watch the stream from the NASA ISS. Seeing the world turn helps somehow make all of it better easier to digest.
