But Trump wants to prosecute Powell for cost overruns of the Fed's renovation.

Republicans looked at families drowning in bills and decided what they really needed was more raids and a Trump ballroom.

Republicans keep forcing through some of the shadiest, most unqualified nominees I’ve ever seen.
The Trump loyalists in today’s package are no different, like Darin Smith for the District Court of Wyoming.
He’s not only underqualified but was at the Capitol on January 6th.

We must never allow Congress to turn into a casino, where members representing the public can gamble on wars or economic crises or elections.
That would destroy the very principle of representative government.
This is a good start but not enough. The Trump Administration and its employees must apply these very same rules too, which are particularly important for them given their troubling affinity for corruption and self-dealing.
