Something is very WRONG with our Google Ads geo reporting!
In our latest campaign, we targeted only Canada + USA.
Google Ads shows:
🇺🇸US: 29 clicks
🇨🇦Canada: 1,171 clicks.
We use a custom tracking link via @dubdotco. Dub also shows 29 US clicks, which matches Google exactly.
But instead of 1,171 clicks from Canada, Dub shows:
🇮🇳India: 899
🇵🇰Pakistan: 73
🌎plus traffic from several other countries.
That adds up to roughly the same number Google is attributing to Canada.
So why is traffic from outside our target countries being reported as Canadian clicks???

@rrmdp Noticed our DB costs are high. Asked Cursor for typical ways to save costs, and adding a cached layer was top of the list 😅

Good thing: adding a cache layer in between page load and DB easily slashed our Firebase bill in half
Bad thing: I've been double paying Google Cloud for over 5 years 🤦♂️

damn, more competition for Outrank.. from my own product 😱
yeah Outrank does much more (like backlinks)
but if you need much more flexibility, OpenClaw + Feather is a great combo
it can even do advanced pSEO, with the flexibility of Notion (so you have full control)

Remember:
GPT-3 could barely write a paragraph
Max output: 500 tokens
Early tools like Copy .ai would often cut off mid paragraph when they hit the token limit, and that was expected behavior.

yes, I crossed $1,000,000 / month was trying to keep it quiet but it got leaked on a pod so... let's go quick backstory: I sold Tweet Hunter and Taplio for $8m in 2024 then got back to work and honestly, I was terrified when you set a standard for yourself, you have to live by it and that pressure is real every single thing I shipped felt scary - I felt like a fraud, "the lucky guy who got acquired once" every launch, I kept thinking: what if it flops? what if I go from "the guy who exited" to just... a nobody? so I forced myself to ship a ton a lot failed I was embarrassed by the bugs in my MVPs but I kept going Revid, Outrank, SuperX, PostSyncer, Feather -> five products thriving today they do more than anything I've ever built before grateful to my co-makers, to the team, and to everyone following along, giving feedback, using the products every day thank you, genuinely 🙏

- Cancel the subscription after one month cause now you already tweeted it

Some hyper-growth stories are believable. Others are not. Claude / Anthropic is doing crazy revenue numbers and it checks out, literally everyone I know is using it. Other startups claiming “$1 million MRR in 90 days” and nobody I know is using it let alone paying. Curious.
