@chronicallydave That’s a great shot. Eastern white pines are one of the tallest trees in the eastern US and I think that’s why red-tailed hawks like nesting in them.

What kind of tree is this?

@RoyalOakAcorn It did not. They are fundamentally pretty expensive to build. It makes sense to allow them, but it hasn't had a huge impact. What size are they looking at allowing? I think Ann Arbor caps the max size at 900 sqft.
