An exhibition of photographs on Italy’s World War II occupation of Greece, scheduled to take place at the Athens' Italian Cultural Institute, was cancelled by the Italian side, with no reason provided, according to the historian who wrote introductory text for it.

And @lifomag wasn't long taking down this pseudo research questioning if the images were the product of AI.

For any doubters, the inscriptions on the reverse of the photographs (which were glued into a photo album) reveal important clues: Geiselerschießung (execution of hostages), Athen (Athens), 1.5.1944

"This listing was ended by the seller on Mon, Feb 16 ... because the item is no longer available." The items are no longer available on Ebay. Hopefully, the seller has recognised the historical importance of these photographs and they will end up in Greece in a suitable archive.
