A while ago, I read "Traction" by @yegg and @jwmares. This book presents 19 traction channels. One that stands out is "Engineering as Marketing". This includes developing tools such as calculators, widgets, and educational microsites to attract customers and promote your product

When I started indie iOS app development I thought that programming was the most valuable skill for indie. Now I think it is marketing and for the iOS app specifically that is AppStore Search Optimisation. I'm still learning ASO, but recorded a video about how I do that. Got from 3,5K to 18,6K impressions in a month. You know where videos are published, come and roast my ASO game and teach me how to do that properly :) #indiedev #buildinpublic

Another thing I'm proud of about @trycommit is that we had 0 crashes. That's not a big deal for a simple app like ours and we did have some nasty bugs though (that were even worse than crashes). But vanity metrics for life!😆 100% crash-free! #buildinpublic
