These business owners are opening my emails o 😕
But replying?
Na another department entirely.
25 cold emails sent this morning.
10 opened already.
No replies yet… but that’s why Claude scheduled the follow-ups automatically 😌
Most deals don’t happen on the first email anyway.
Cold emailing will humble you fast 😂
You’ll see:
“Email opened 3 times”
And still no reply.
Sent 25 emails this morning.
10 views already.
I’m not stressing though.
Claude is handling the follow-up sequence in 2 days like a unpaid employee 🤝
Me checking if they replied to my cold emails every 10 minutes 👀
Meanwhile the business owner:
“Seen.”
25 emails out this morning.
10 already viewed.
No response yet but automation no dey panic, follow-up mails go land in 2 days sharp.
Happy Wednesday fellas.

Thank God For You.
You might not know what you have done but I put it to you that you have shaken a system

I’ve spent the past couple of weeks building Looters: a public archive of Nigerian political corruption since the 1990s. Governors, ministers, shell companies, Swiss accounts, the Jersey trusts, — one searchable graph. You too can connect the dots: 1000reasons.vote/looters

One thing I had to learn the hard way in my career is that companies will continue functioning with or without you.
So protect yourself too.
Take your leave.
Rest properly.
Build skills outside your current job.
Explore better opportunities when necessary.
Create additional income streams.
Have a life outside work.
Because some people give everything to work and still get replaced with a 10-minute meeting.

@BasitOriola The scheduling email has help me

Copilot Cowork is honestly AMAZING! I am so glad I get to work with tools like this in my lifetime.
I was prepping for a presentation tomorrow about a project I did earlier this year and on my own I could only come up with 5 learnings… My darling Cowork, "omomi" pulled from emails, Teams chats, meeting summaries and built me a beautiful 11‑slide deck!
Let me shut down and be going home 😄

@iamkadirii The transaction can be queried by the fraud department or Ebiz to know how the funds were moved away. The customer cannot pretend not to know what happened. It is definitely not a cash transaction but an electronic one.

One moment you can be having a smiley face to everyone and the next moment you can be at EFCC answering questions as RM.
Something happened just this morning to a colleague.
A customer reported that 4M was withdrawn from his account, and his blaming the bank for the fraud, he refused to say what happened.
We have to invite him with both police before he opened up that his phone was Picked from his pocket in kwari market yesterday and the fraudsters have already moved 4M into fintech account—all these happened he didn’t notify account officer until this morning.
Case is gradually moving to EFCC this morning, my colleagues is all stressed up at the moment because the customer is refusing to come to
Terms with his own mistake

Zenith Bank and Globus Bank, I have never seen two banks this connected before.
The movement of staff between Zenith Bank and Globus Bank is actually interesting to watch.
A staff will resign from Zenith today, few weeks later they resume at Globus Bank.
I think 70% percent of Globus workforce all came from Zenith Bank.
What's the link?

@omoalhajaabiola Ok, I tried this strategy, yesterday night. Sent 7 cold emails and 5 LinkedIn message. Got two different responses.
“ I’m not interested” and “sound interesting and relevant”.
Not sleeping on this throughout this month.
Thank you

@MrOlibaba A lot of bank customer don’t read the declaration and consent part on the any request form/account package, they just signed. They don’t know they have authorized an undertaking to indemnify the bank for any loss suffered.
English

I have appeared numerous times in court as bank witness.
The last one, a customer got an authorized online card debit of 120k.
He accused the bank of initiating the debits.
You know how people will always say, "take the bank to court" you'll win and the court will ask them to compensate you with millions.
That was the case as the customer took us to court.
As branch head of operations I was asked to represent the bank in court as a witness.
The prosecuting counsel thought the case was the usual one they intimidate defense witness person into giving contradicting responses...
During cross examination, I had to clearly explain the bank’s privacy and confidentiality policies, transaction authorization process, and the customer’s responsibility in safeguarding card details and PINs.
In the end of the process, the court ruled in favour of the bank
The little fund customer had he wasted it on court case, and even spent more than the 120k.

You know that awkward silence after a serious brouhaha?
The argument is technically over… but nobody is talking.
Everybody suddenly becomes a motivational speaker on WhatsApp status, posting things like “Protect your peace” while aggressively ignoring each other. Remarkable species.
One person is waiting for the other to text first.
The other person is checking their phone every two minutes saying, “I don’t care.”
Meanwhile both of them care too much. Pride just entered the group chat.
Sometimes after a fight, silence is needed.
People need time to calm down so they don’t say things they can’t take back. That part is understandable.
But there’s a difference between taking space… and using silence as punishment.
Because some people don’t go quiet to heal.
They go quiet so the other person will suffer, overthink, panic, and come begging.
And honestly? That kind of silence can damage a relationship more than the actual argument.
You can disagree with someone and still reassure them.
You can be angry and still communicate respectfully.
A simple:
“I’m upset right now, let me calm down and we’ll talk later,”
can save so many relationships.
Instead, people disappear emotionally.
Cold replies. Delayed messages. Watching your status but refusing to respond. Tiny tiny psychological warfare. As if love is now an Olympic event.
The funny thing is, after all the silence and forming, most people still want the same thing.
To be understood.
To be heard.
To feel valued.
But ego likes to pretend it’s strength.
Sometimes the relationship is not even ending because of the fight itself.
It’s ending because nobody knows how to reconnect after the fight.
No soft approach.
No honest conversation.
Just silence stretching longer and longer until two people who actually care start feeling like strangers.
If you love someone, don’t let pride make communication difficult.
Take your space if you need it.
Cool off. Breathe. Reset your mind.
But come back and talk.
Because silence can protect peace temporarily…
but communication is what protects the relationship.
