Was speaking to a mentee last night and told her about editing copy directly in Quark and I sounded like a grandpa on a porch

@jjfitzgeraldMD And after 10 ER visits for “cramps and bleeding to the point of loss of consciousness” they still don’t consider that you might have it 🤣

What if I told you there was a disease that tangles a woman’s organs together but the only money we’ve spent trying to figure out why is because sometimes it means she cant get pregnant

@stephiecwrites That convo between Phillip & Wills at the end of Willmania was 💔💔💔 but with the Kate thing and some of this I wonder- where did this come from? Is it fan fiction? Is it from insider sources? Like what is the source material 🤣

@remilouf That’s true. I’ve worked with so many founders who spend all their time taking in info from books like that and not enough time thinking through their own stuff/talking to experts. Doesn’t look like you’ll get stuck there though!

@danapubs Totally agree 3 books in. Luckily I’m a fast reader and go through them and take notes in ~ 1h (I know what I’m looking for). Being surrounded by experts is great for details, but you do need a framework to operate at a high level.

@remilouf I’ll talk to you about PLG/customer acquisition. The Mom Test is to make things really easy to use (a good product strategist and UX person can help). Culture? Just don’t be a dick and be a human. Hire someone to design culture when you can afford it.

Would you hire someone to help you create content? I love that Just Go Grind is mostly a one-man operation, but I've thought about hiring someone to help me out I'm not there just yet, but it'd be a Content Assistant role I'd hire for Just like what @bill_kerrrrr and @AthynaHQ help companies hire for (Among other roles) I can see more CEOs and creators doing this too, hiring someone to help research, edit, and create content as part of a growth strategy Months ago I met Bill, was fascinated by his story, and love what he's doing at Athyna I was thrilled to partner with them for Just Go Grind a little while back as hiring is such an important piece of building a company Now that they're helping people hire for content roles specifically, they're even more relevant for me, other creators, and CEOs who understand the value of creating content If you’re interested you can check out Athyna's offer here 👇🏾 athyna.com/quote?utm_sour…

Unpopular truth: Trying to follow someone else’s recipe for success when you don’t have access to the same ingredients is a recipe for disappointment (This post is not about cooking)

@remilouf Ok I have no excuse, it’s literally on a stand next to my desk too 🤣 I think I want to build or repair or something rather than fiddle around. I want to tire my body with physical work like construction or something

@danapubs Wow! I leave my guitar on a stand next to my desk with the strap attached and now I naturally grab it when I get bored / tired.

Cooking’s not bad either, or rock climbing (not a fan). Anything that can really hurt you if you don’t pay attention, actually.
