Great morning in NYC as we ring in Walmart’s debut in the Nasdaq. Props to the team who made today a success!

Over 63 years, @Walmart has had five remarkable CEOs - from Sam Walton through Doug McMillon - and our sixth will be John Furner. I have had the honor of working closely with Doug these past 12 years. His leadership has been fueled by our purpose and values, and his vision has helped us modernize and increase Walmart's value 3.5 times. I know I speak for many when I share that his leadership will continue to inspire us. But I am equally certain that John is the right person to lead Walmart's next chapter. John shares Doug’s passion for our purpose and people, and has the vision and experience to guide us through an era defined by technology, new customer expectations, and continued growth. I am excited to continue to partner with him as the takes the reins in February.

This is designed to purposefully mislead. They are cherry picking the data that showed most prices stayed the same and ignoring the more than 6,500 rollbacks on a wide range of items. We are providing the most competitive prices around the country.

We condemn violence, including when it’s directed towards law enforcement, and the damaging of property. As a company with associates and customers in the Los Angeles region, we remain focused on their safety and that of impacted associates.
