Very interesting stat from @StovallCFRA on @CNBCTheExchange with @LesliePicker today.
When it takes >40 days for the S&P 500 to have a mild 5% pullback, it has never moved into a bear market.

@nickgerli1 We are seeing an influx of people moving from Tampa to Lakewood Ranch. Schools, safety, ability to live in a gated community for <1.5m is what I hear most

Tampa, FL just hit its lowest migration level on record.
A net 1,539 people left Tampa's metro area in 2025 - the first decline ever recorded going back four decades.
Worse yet - birth rates are plummeting, and the area now has more deaths than births.
This is happening due to a dramatic affordability crisis in Tampa, St. Petersburg, and Clearwater. The entire metro became very expensive during the pandemic, and locals can't afford it, so they're leaving.
The only saving grace for the Florida Bay Area was international migration, which kept overall population growth slightly positive at +13,000.
However, this was also the lowest level in nearly 40 years.

My best friend called me yesterday. Said he's meeting with an advisor from Northwestern Mutual. Said he's sick of paying so much in taxes and looking for options.
Dual physician family - W2 jobs with combined income >$1 mil
I just told him, whatever you do, do not let them talk you into a whole life insurance policy.

@SahilBloom @AlenaNazarova_ I would absolutely balloon on 450g of carbs
English

@AlenaNazarova_ Preach. I look, perform, and feel better on 450g carbs per day than I did on sub-100.

I called a local bank here to get info for a HELOC…left a vm. 24 hours later, no call back. I called an Ascensus internal wholesaler to get quotes on a 401k plan opportunty…left a vm. 24 hours later, no call back. Emailed and called an estate planning attorney about estate docs THEY drafted. 5 days later, no call back. No email.
It’s not that hard to treat people like humans…

Professional Services suck. There, I said it. Someone who has been in it for almost 2 decades. All types. Advisors, CPAs, Attorneys, Doctors, Banks...all of it.
It’s broken because it's devoid of all feeling. Walk into a bank lately? it'll make you feel dead inside.
Most professionals care deeply about what they know. About being right. About how much they make. About efficiency and about protecting themselves from the inconveniences that their clients cause them.
Very few stop to ask how it actually feels to be their client.
How it feels to wait. To be confused. To be vulnerable. To feel ignored. To trust someone and feel like a line item instead of a human or in a lot of cases to feel preyed upon.
Clients don’t remember your credentials. They remember whether you made them feel calm or anxious. Seen or ignored. Safe or exposed. And most importantly, do you have their back, even when it makes things hard for you? Or are you annoyed that they need help?
It doesn’t matter what you "think" clients feel about your business or whether you think you were in the right in a situation. Your opinion actually doesn't matter. You aren't hiring yourself.
All that matters is what they actually feel around you and If they believe you care about them.
As AI technology progresses and tasks become easier, how a person feels about your office, your people and you, will be all that matters.
Everything else is just noise.

@danbennett31 Respectfully there isn’t THAT much to do in Syracuse.

@TenfoldMyLife Some do some don’t. I’m not an advocate for them, but Lincoln has a 1 year 20% cap 10% buffer. No CDSC.

Most buyers of annuities don’t this about the annuities they buy…
Ryan Greiser, CFP®@Greiser
Fixed indexed annuities lock you in for 7-10 years with surrender charges. But the carrier can adjust participation rates, caps, and spreads annually. You're committed. But they're flexible.
