That Moniepoint CEO is just saying the truth To an average Nigerian, hookup and yahoo is more profitable than any skill The next thing a Nigerian look into if they can’t do hookup and yahoo is forex, crypto and sport betting The few people that learn digital skills have problems too Many of them didn’t learnt very well, just an idea and that’s it I have encountered graphic designers that I can use Canva to manipulate and create better designs I have met bang average video editors, ads manager, poster calling themselves social media managers Very few people learn a skill in Nigeria and learn it perfectly and to global standards In Nigeria, many companies are still outsource jobs to people in India, Pakistan and Bangladesh Another problem with Nigerians is pride. They are too big to work for certain amount of money They prefer to be jobless than to work a 100k job

@EOEboh B) Then to prevent against CSRF attacks I'll probably set the samesite cookie attribute to lax or strict or I could just generate a CSRF token and send as a readable non-httponly cookie for my frontend to access with JavaScript and send in req headers for my server to validate

@russell_oje @CodeEdison Nahhh, it’s not outdated, try out modern PHP for web and APIs development and you’d be surprised at the performance. I’ll be doing a series on it on YT soon.

Your JWT tokens contain user role in payload: {"user_id": 123, "role": "user"}. A hacker changes it to "role": "admin" in the token and gains admin access. How is this possible and how do you prevent it?

@shubh19 @CodeEdison I think the 2 is even essential. Rust if you need to that raw performance, Go if you need performance and speed of dev. Go should be used for backend systems and networking as that’s what it was built for, Rust should be used for blockchain dev, CLIs, systems programming etc

Best backend stack for a Nigerian dev building their first SaaS right now: – Node.js + Express (you already know it) – Supabase (database + auth in one, free tier is generous) – @pxxl_space(free deployment, no CORS nightmare) – Paystack (not Stripe — your users have Nigerian cards) – Sentry (catch bugs before your users report them) You can build something real with this in a weekend. No excuses ooo What are you building?

@Emack300 @Akintola_steve Some of these posts are just engagement bait cos I see no reason anyone would actually use SOAP for a new service in 2026. Even graphql is a mistake if we’re being honest. REST and gRPC still the best imo.

Omo, too many backend devs are just too chilled with REST APIs sha 😂 Never touched SOAP? Never touched gRPC? Or GraphQL? If all you do is CRUD apps daily… you’re not really an engineer. Learn how architectures scale, or stay stuck at the same level (and salary) forever.
