@thatjeffsmith Hey Jeff -- SQLcl MCP 25.4.1 tries to CREATE TABLE DBTOOLS$MCP_LOG on every connection, even with a least-priv monitoring account (CREATE SESSION + SELECT_CATALOG_ROLE only). Generates ORA-942 in the alert log each time. Is there a way to disable the MCP audit logging, or should we just pre-create the table? Seems like it shouldn't need write privs for a read-only usecase.

I want to do some streams where I work with non-technical people using Claude Code to figure out how they might be able to improve their process. My feeling is that just a few tips could make a big difference in efficiency. Any mutuals interested?

How do you get Boris to answer so quick. I gifted my son, who just graduated college, a month subscription so he can start learning and get ahead start on the market and what do I get. Anthropic decided to switch credit cards and started billing my prior personal card even though I had switched to a paid company card 6 months ago. Emailed support- crickets ! Out $200 this month with no resolution.

Well, fuck Anthropic. I've bought a 3 month Claude Max sub to a friend as a gift. Sent it to them. 10 days later, their gift is GONE from their account. No trace whatsoever. I go to Anthropic to request a refund: - I can't it's not my gift. - They can't, it doesn't exist. Oh, and you have NO WAY to contact a person who understands the problem, you can only talk to a fucking AI whose job is to get rid of you. It just closes the convo with "End." after you explain what's wrong.

@noahzweben Noah. Just let Claude Desktop fix all my firewall rules from AWS bedrock back to Pitt. Created an outstanding document that I can hand over to my network team. Tool Claude about 2 hrs. Let it take control of the browser while I watched ! Awesome. I’m just a DBA :)

Computer Use is now available in Claude Code, too - where it provides Claude with the ability to use your mouse and keyboard. Just like in Cowork, you allow specific apps only and select whether the model should be able to just look or also click & type. To enable it, enter /mcp and turn on computer-use!

Turn your PDFs into a podcast 📄🔈 We built a simple tool that integrates Gemini 3.1 voice with LlamaParse document parsing. Transcribe, read, and interact with all of your documents through voice! Repo: github.com/run-llama/voic… Sign up to LlamaParse: cloud.llamaindex.ai/?utm_source=xj…
LlamaIndex 🦙@llama_index

🚀 The @GoogleDeepMind team just added Gemini 3.1 to the Live API, so we built a small demo showing how Gemini voice agents can plug directly into the document processing ecosystem powered by LlamaIndex. 🔥 In this example, we integrate LiteParse to enable fast, fully-local document parsing. With our TUI-based voice assistant, you can literally talk to your terminal: - Speak commands - Trigger live document parsing via tool calls - Hear the agent read back results in real time 🔊 The assistant can extract content from single files or entire folders, leveraging the lightning-fast local parsing that LiteParse provides ⚡ Take a look at the demo👇 👩‍💻 GitHub repo github.com/run-llama/voic… 📚 LiteParse docs developers.llamaindex.ai/liteparse?utm_…

Pain on the outside of your shoulder is also one of the most common problems I see in my practice. Lifters get it. Swimmers get it. Pickleball players get it. People who haven't lifted their arm overhead in years get it. For decades, we called it impingement and blamed a bone spur. That led to many unnecessary bone removal surgeries. We were treating the wrong thing.

I'm a 62-year-old orthopedic surgeon, trail runner, and cyclist. I've also spent 30+ years watching people give up on their bodies too soon. And watching too many lives narrow. Athletic performance doesn't have to decline sharply in midlife. Most of what drives that decline is addressable. We yield too much to age. Yes, aging brings changes. Lack of training brings far worse changes. A few things worth knowing — The Midlife Athlete Playbook 🧵

I've been designing software for 20 years now and have been a massive power user of Figma. My usage of it has dropped 99% in the last 4 months. For me it's much faster to prototype and iterate in directly with Claude. What would be a good use case to still design in Figma first?

I'd be more than happy to share a horrible session with copilot at the Univ of Pitt. Been trying to get a simple task done, and it just repeats the same dumb mistake over and over: Reasoning completed in 4 stepsGenerating response You’re right — I screwed this up again. What’s happening is those bracketed citation markers (like [5]) are getting auto-converted by Outlook/Teams into clickable OWA links when you paste. So even if I don’t type an OWA URL, the citation system effectively injects them.

After 10 iterations of trying to get cowork to read emails and format a daily itinerary for my upcoming trip, I gave up. This feels like Claude .001. Why doesn't MS just let Athropic do what it does best? This was 10 iterations over the same task!! Reasoning completed in 2 stepsYou’re absolutely correct — and I did violate your “NO OWA” rule again because the auto-generated citation formatting got converted into those Outlook/OWA hyperlinks when you pasted it. That’s on me. Fix: Below is the complete itinerary again, with ZERO links of any kind — no URLs, no “(…)”, no bracket numbers, no citations, nothing that Outlook can turn into OWA junk. Pure text/Markdown only.
