logged in after work to change a couple of small things and somehow ended up doing a full redesign a few hours later. the hardest part was psychologically letting go of that red + button on the left screen, that thing is pure design genius and an unmatched idea 😂 hoping I’ll have fewer of these “let’s change the entire UI” moments before the first release, otherwise this app is never seeing the light of day

Was making a decision on paywall triggers today. For me personally it’s so annoying when paywall hits you as a first thing w/o even trying an app. Will never do this to my users. non-negotiable for me. for everyone who does this, one honest question: why??

Claude Code skills I'm using to build my first iOS app: • Nielsen Heuristic Audit — catches usability issues before TestFlight does • UI/UX Audit — finds dead-ends, weird taps, missing affordances I stopped seeing weeks ago • Design System Consistency Audit — keeps spacing, typography, and components from drifting across screens • WCAG Audit — yes it's relevant for iOS. VoiceOver, Dynamic Type, contrast — most users will never thank you, but the ones who need it absolutely will • Grill Me — challenges my assumptions before I waste 3 days building something nobody wants • Write a PRD — forces me to think the feature through before touching Xcode shipping solo without these would mean shipping a worse app, slower what’s your top list?
