@Mrtoolshed_ People genuinely enjoy playing MTG, so just saying "don't play" isn't a very good solution. We play comp mtg because we love both aspects, the competition and the game itself. I also play and love Riftbound but this isn't a solution, it's issue avoidance. 😊

One way to solve the magic payout issue is just not play magic anymore. Riftbound is thriving and steadily increasing payouts with each tournament. I would give it a shot if you’ve played magic competitively for years. I played magic for 13 years and haven’t looked back since

I've broken Leona and cant make it to 2 of the 3 set 3 regionals. Kind of sad she got so much support right before its almost pointless to play her.

@fireshoes @SaffronOlive The fact that PT prizing has not increased in a number of years when MTG has had multiple best years in a row feels criminal. Back to Back years largest magiccons of all time too, yet the monetary incentive for comp play has not improved at all.

Pro Tour prizing is increasingly lagging behind the cost to attend. Ken is spending $2400 for flight and hotel. He's have to finish in the Top 28 to cover that (based on the prize structure for Las Vegas). #mtg

You can't treat Riftbound like a digital game and use set releases as Patch Notes @playriftbound. 😐

Combat and locations are more unique aspects of the game, so it's more understandable that they mess up in those aspects because its a bit less charted from a competitive standpoint. The game is so good but the problem is they are treating new sets like patches similar to LOL, and this IS NOT A DIGITAL FORMAT.

@playriftbound has had way too many rules issues for a very young game, that were more than avoidable if it just took precedent from already established TCGs. The fact that they are rules updating every set and have an excessive number of errata is quite concerning.

The token issue and the wording of Rengar are only the latest of easily spottable issues that SHOULD have been caught in testing. I recall there were former pro MTG players who were used as consultants for this, but these still cleared? 🤔
