@NWischoff Agree. Just flew out of SF this morning after being at the Verizon Innovation Center for a healthcare event. Hadn’t been in awhile and forgot how great the city is.

Have been in SF for three weeks and taken an average of 5 in person meetings per day. Issued two terms sheets and walked 16k steps/day. There is no better place to be investing right now.

@mskatherine_gb I have a pile from my dad’s time in the war back to his parents. Photocopied them all and bound them into a book for my siblings along with a timeline of his experiences in England, France and Germany. Hope you find them and pass them on.

When my father was in the service, he and my mother wrote to each other. After they married and my dad was stationed in England, she wrote and received letters from her mother. Then, when he went to Viet Nam in 1962, again they wrote each other during that year he was away. These were handwritten treasures. I had a few for sometime, not sure where they are now...packed away or lost. The loss of letter writing to instant gratification (texting, email) is sad to me. And now, AI is used, even for that. Hand-written letters were a commitment, an intentional effort, earnest communication...personal history of the life...of the heart that could be revisited again and again. They were a feast for the senses containing your loved ones' handwriting, and sometimes even fragrance. Now, students aren't even taught to write in this style. They will never know the thrill of opening an envelope containing the life on paper of someone that loves them. Devastating loss. 💙📧💙✒️💙📬💙🖋💙 🎨 James Carroll Beckwith #letters #FromTheHeart

"We’re at a moment where AI is not just answering our questions—it’s learning how to agree with us. They summarize, clarify, and now increasingly empathize. And not in a cold, transactional way, but in charming iteration and dialogue. And beneath this fluency lies a quiet risk: the tendency to reinforce rather than challenge." psychologytoday.com/us/blog/the-di…

@ExploringStamps Also recommend adding Threads and Bluesky to your social portfolio. I’m personally spending less and less time here on X.

Trump's overall net approval & on the economy are "historically awful... weak, weak, weak" going into a 1st address to Congress. He has the 2nd worst net approval rating (+1 pts) on record. Beating only himself (2017). His net approval on the economy (-4 pts) is the worst.

As this platform continues to degrade into a raging dumpster fire of villainy and vitriol, I ask you: what would you like to see from a lowly cook like me? What would you enjoy, utterly void of politics, grievances, and griping? Whatever it is, I'll try my best to do it.
