Spiky started two years ago because we were genuinely inspired by how the Monad community was built, how unhinged and real it was, and how people cared for each other. We wanted to build something that felt worthy of that energy and add our own twist to it. For a long time, especially pre mainnet, that worked. We built, experimented, hosted, shipped, and shared a lot of real moments together. Spiky became a constant in the eco. Since moving to mainnet, for reasons both in and outside our control, we have not been able to bring that vision to life. The potential was there and we failed to realize it. That reality is painful for us, and we know it has been frustrating for our community as well. After a lot of thought, we have made the difficult decision to pause development of Spiky indefinitely. We will distribute the entirety of the remaining 2.5 million $MON in the Spiky treasury to our holders. A snapshot will be taken on January 26 and each wallet will receive $MON per Spiky held. Our team has spent the last two years deeply committed to Monad and its ecosystem. Some of us walked away from jobs to build here, and we never approached Spiky with extractive intent. That doesn't change now. The core team didn't take any profits from the treasury. Thank you to everyone who believed in us and allowed us to chase this dream with you. While this chapter closes, we will continue to be active in Monad and support the people and projects building toward its future. SIU
