NEW SCAM ALERT FOR AUSTRALIANS Hey team, I just had a very convincing pommy call me saying he was was with the Australian Federal Online Crime unit contacting me about an arrest they have made recently. Said my details had come up with information on banking and crypto accounts. I called that it was a scam and I didn't believe him, he was very good and explained that there was an email sent to me with a one time passcode for me to login to the portal to see the information and offered that I could go to the local police station to do the same. Then he asked me what exchanges I used and said there was a 24 word phrase that had to do with something and did I know what it could be. Long story short, I smelt a rat and refused to tell him anything and after several tries to get me to list information about what exchanges he hung up. This was one of the better attempts I have had so just be very careful. He was very well spoken and I would guess he is trying to get some revenge after the English test series where Australia retained the Ashes 4-1 😂 Jokes aside, this was an attempt that might get some people, especially the older generation that are more inclined to trust government. Be careful out there! Please share this to let others know
