I just paid $2.95 a litre for diesel. It stings but I don’t have to use my car that much and I’m fine financially. I really do feel bad for those that are finding it hard and were struggling to keep things together. Now they have to pay an extra $1 per litre and they probably need their car for work. At this point it really feels like we’re all working here in Australia for our government to keep increasing their pay packets, pensions and profits for their mates instead of the other way around as it’s meant to be. #australia #diesel #struggle

@blackdogsbody @lauren_vasiliou Which will mean the customer has to pay more at some point. This will happen for everything and inflation will rise then rates will rise and AI will rise and it’s a perfect storm coming together for a hard landing at some point isn’t it?

People were asking me what is going to cause our housing bubble to pop They couldn’t see a ‘catalyst’ Would you agree war in the Middle East, AI job losses, bond yields ripping and oil going to $200 could perhaps deliver that ‘catalyst’ ?? @togaxsaurio Ahh gotcha. My dad was the same when I spoke to him. He said it was only fuel, no dad, it's going to be everything. Life is about to get 20% more costly on top of the current 15% PA inflation when you factor energy and interest rates we currently face.

I'm a contractor engineer at a council and today I had beers with the operations people. They are amazing, classic Aussie blokes... but they are so unaware of the economy, and living standard lives: mortgage, kids, credit card debt. They are the stats you see on the telly of people living paycheck to paycheck. The system is about to fuck them over. And the system doesn't give a fuck.
