@SamanthaBahna #EDTC627F Diffit - #topic" target="_blank" rel="nofollow noopener">beta.diffit.me/#topic - is a site that will take articles and level them down specific reading levels. You can upload an article or type in a topic and it generates the same article on the grade level you teach. A great way to teach current events!

@SamanthaBahna Explain Paper is an AI tool that my students can benefit from. It can assist students when reading above their reading level to explain the chunk of text. Especially when preparing for NJSLA…even in third grade it’s difficult! #EDTC 627F23

@SamanthaBahna Deep Nostalgia AI can take photos and bring them to life. This could be fun for students who are learning about people from the past like former scientists or historical figures! #EDTC627F23

@KayteSnyder @SamanthaBahna A tool that creates notes that are designed for that type of learner. Asking the AI tool to include definitions or picture representations depending on the type of learner who is asking #EDTC627F23

@SamanthaBahna Students can use AI like another teacher. They could ask AI, like ChaptGPT, to create notes or a study guide on a specific topic they are learning about. Maybe AI has a different way of showing or explaining that the students connect with or understand more! #EDTC627F23

@SamanthaBahna Using AI photo tools, K-4 science students could photograph for instance different leaves or insects and ask AI to identify them based on visual characteristics and then provide details on each. Not too unlike a reverse image look up on Google but with more detail. #EDTC627F23

@SamanthaBahna AI tools could be used to better understand vocabulary with visual representations of the word. Also, help ELL students with terms that they need help with. I heard of a tool could Knowji- which is a vocabulary app that uses cartoons to help students remember words #EDTC627F23

@dani_mosca @SamanthaBahna IG is what I'm most comfortable with, so I just started following head over heels for teaching. I agree that memes are a great way to provide comic relief.

@LibraryOfDawn @SamanthaBahna It took me a minute to think about what I use for comic relief because I think we are just so use to having that text there we do not think of it like that, but it truly is a place to share and banter!

@LibraryOfDawn @SamanthaBahna I have found so much inspiration from the Facebook group as well! Pixton Comics For Educators is another group too that is helpful. I've used Pixton in my class and my students love it!

@dani_mosca @SamanthaBahna Colleague group texts are the best! A team member of mine just retired this past June. She would always send daily to weekly TiK Tok posts of Gerry Brooks! Miss it! #EDTC627F23

@dani_mosca @SamanthaBahna Just got this nerdy text from a co-worker in our group chat in honor of my national-day-of daily library boards. Much needed laugh after a long day. Cannot underestimate the power of colleague moral support. #EDTC627f23
