"Coffee beans" in a liver FNA from a patient with history of "adult granulosa cell tumor", diagnosed by my able fellow @AmerSwid, (smears and cell block). IHCs with FOXL2, SF1, Inhibin and Calretinin confirms the dx.

Just a simple advice on a common issue in Salivary Gland FNA - “Pleomorphic Adenoma enjoys CHAOS - disregard pleomorphism, hypercellularity, and high power atypia - PA loves to appear malignant”.

“A quiet frame of ruins holding the memory of a world shaken.” Once the Hiroshima Prefectural Industrial Promotion Hall, the “Atomic Bomb Dome” remained standing at the hypocenter of the 1945 blast, preserved today as a UNESCO World Heritage Site symbolizing the quest for peace.

Just a funny fact - we, the attendings always know that the Residents don’t make mistakes; they make “teaching opportunities.”

My first lesson to fellows starting their training year with us is the simple reminder about Cytopathology being a “team sport” (multidisciplinary effort) with strong reliance on collaboration with and respect for radiologists, endoscopists, and other proceduralists (in addition to their own teammates, i.e., expert cytotechnologists). Respect also ensures smooth workflows.
