This is gonna create some weird incentives for other companies

Moved to SF today, with the same bed, frame, and lamp since I graduated college. Paying the same rent as first year out of college too.
Left four years of friends and memories in LA. Left gaming too, the whole reason I came out west.
Was thinking about how, to be a founder you have to be willing to start from zero again. To know nothing, to look like a fool, to restart your network, to be empty. But also to be insatiably curious and focused on the task at hand.
Excited for the next chapter.

@firstc0in and we can hate the game when it's clearly dying. It's not coming back until we build a better system.
English

@daniel_li02 Buying a memecoin is buying the influence of your network. Content may be a qualitative field your network will use to decide on whether or not to buy. Don’t hate the player, hate the game 🤷♂️
English

@firstc0in The content creators are the people who bring more people into the ecosystem, not the traders. Their influence is what should be bidded and focusing on converting creator influence into liquidity creates a longer laster business.
English

@firstc0in The content of the coin should be the main determiner of liquidity, not these group chats. These telegram groups are bad actors and they need to be removed from the ecosystem. Copy trading amplifies their influence and building tools for them continues this trend.
English

@daniel_li02 I agree for all the reasons mentioned. Trench Tech is not about copy trading.
English

@firstc0in Actual evidence of this is in vamping of coins which splits liquidity. KOLs launch a new vamped coin and people blindly follow in on the new one.
English

@firstc0in Hard disagree. Copy trading shouldn't be a feature because it turns everything into influencer-trading where KOLs control the narrative. The launchpad controlling the narrative creates the actual positive externality and people blindly following trades makes this harder.

you *actually* can long attention, but not by way of memecoins
something with zero intrinsic value has both no floor and no ceiling. it's how PEPE can be valued $11B and coins go down 99%. that's a feature, not a bug. it's the highest r/r casino on earth but you must pay for the 1000x
memecoins capture speculation on attention, not attention itself. what was once the greatest attention economy on earth became a casino. narratives were frontran, coins got vamped, and insiders got better at bundling supply
a true attention market enables bidirectional expression on an asset priced both reflexively and externally through social signals. attention exists across every platform whether or not anyone's trading it
observable, measurable, and continuous
