Except for Ngugi’s Decolonizing the African Language, that’s the WRONG reading list. Start here: 1. Ngugi wa Thiong’o—Decolonizing the Mind. 2. Frantz Fanon—The Wretched of the Earth; Black Skin, White Masks; and Towards the African Revolution. 3. Paulo Freire—Pedagogy of the Oppressed. 4. Walter Rodney—How Europe Underdeveloped Africa. 5. Karl Marx—Das Capital. Let me know after you finish this First Year class compulsory reading for any African student who seeks to be a genuine intellectual. Cheers.

Among all of Raila's children, he is perhaps the one who has borne the greatest cost of his father’s political convictions, an unwitting casualty of a lifelong struggle waged in the name of democracy and justice. Many people remain unaware of Raila Junior’s quiet yet remarkable achievements. He is not merely the son of a political titan; he is a distinguished professional in his own right. Junior holds a BA (Honours) in Accounting and Finance from the University of Wales and a MSc in Finance from the University of Leeds. As a sharp and grounded entrepreneur, he manages the family business portfolio while serving as CEO and Executive Producer of Creative Hub, a reputable production company that crafts high-quality advertisements for mainstream media. Having once worked there myself, I can attest to his discipline, creativity, and sense of purpose. Beyond business, Junior devotes his time to mentoring children living with disabilities, a profound reflection of his empathy and moral conviction. Yet, despite these accomplishments, Raila Junior has long been subjected to mockery and prejudice not because of his character or competence, but because of a medical condition that was beyond his control. He has been a casualty of his father’s political identity, unfairly reduced to caricature by those of us who see the Odinga name before they see the human being. It is easy to forget that behind every public figure stands a person, one who feels, struggles, and bleeds just like the rest of us. It is disheartening, even tragic, that during a moment of grief as he mourned his father, some chose to focus not on his composure, intellect, or dignity, but on something as shallow as his physical appearance. Here was a man who walked into that solemn space with grace, his beautiful wife by his side, his demeanor calm and respectful, yet society’s instinct was to ridicule rather than empathize. If an individual like Raila Junior who's educated, successful, disciplined, compassionate, and dignified can still be reduced to a mere object of ridicule, then perhaps it is not him who needs healing, but society itself. We have normalized cruelty in the name of humour and lost sight of the humanity that binds us. Let us relearn empathy. Let us remember that kindness costs nothing, yet its absence impoverishes us all. Let us celebrate resilience instead of ridiculing difference. You never truly know the battles someone is fighting behind their smile; sometimes, a single cruel word can wound deeper than silence ever could. Raila Odinga’s passing has reminded me of one enduring truth: political differences should never eclipse our shared humanity. I will never again despise someone for thinking differently. Because in the end, empathy not ideology is what defines us. May Raila Amolo Odinga rest in eternal peace.💔

There are people you do not touch! Their spirits are too vicious and Stubborn. Albert Ojwang's is one such. When the three motorbikes carrying six DCI or whatever officers landed at Alberts home, it was clear to them that whatever they were planning to do to Albert would never even reach the local FM radio station. Albert was a nobody's son. His father, that day may have been found wearing an old faded pair of pants and a torn T-shirt. The entire family seated under trees on stones having ugali and skuma wiki for lunch. No signs of anything valuable caught the sights of those merchants of death. They must have laughed at how audacious this son of a retired quarry worker must have been to poke his nose and dare hold an opinion on how much their boss was taking home on a daily from corruption. They did not imagine that Alberts father could even afford bus fare instantly to follow his son to Nairobi. They did not know that Alberts dad had the gift of speaking into people's hearts and that his cries would hold the whole country to a standstill .They did not imagine that baba Albert would be fluent in Kiswahili and narrate events leading to the capture and detention of his son fluently and seamlessly in a way that all Kenyans would understand. They thought he'd be the usual old luo man with a literally heavy tongue when it came to speaking kiswahili. They must be in shock! That the pathologist dared to give a true report on the murder of a poor man's son in total disregard of their script! There are people you don't touch and if you go ahead and touch them, there will be so much sorrow in your home that fire will never be lit to cook a meal! #JusticeforAlbertOjwang' Mwalimu Christine AJERO

On this one they cannot just go after the small fish by interdicting the OCS and small officers and leave out DIG Eliud Langat yet he orchestrated all this. If left Langat will interfere with everything. He must be suspended, arrested and charged.

Albert Ojwang has been silenced forever by Ruto’s regime. Just a month ago, he was overjoyed after becoming a father. Albert was a teacher who was using his social media platforms to fight for a better Kenya. DCI officers picked him up from his house in Homa Bay and then drove more than 350 km away to Nairobi, where they ended up murdering him inside a cold holding cell at the Central Police Station. And what crime did he commit to deserve being killed? He is alleged to have accused Deputy Inspector General of Police Eliud Langat of collecting bribes amounting to Ksh 100 million every month. We all know that's possible because the Kenya Police force is one of the most corrupt institutions in Kenya. Every day, young people are arrested for loitering, vagrancy, touting, being drunk and disorderly, smoking bhang, not carrying an ID, or even just daring to breathe in the presence of extortionist cops. They are then forced to pay bribes at police stations to secure their freedom, with those who fail to pay appearing in court on trumped-up charges. The money collected from them is shared among police officers and their seniors. If Langat is collecting that kind of money, those bribes must be reaching his boss, Kanja, and their godfather, Mr Ruto. Ruto is the king of ruin - he would rather burn Kenya to the ground and rule over the ashes. We shall not allow one sociopath to destroy the country so that he can he feel warm. We shall protect and defend Kenya from a murderous, greedy president who doesn't respect the rule of law or even the taxpayers who pay his fat salary. #EndPoliceBrutality #JusticeForAlbertOjwang #Justice4AlbertOjwang #RutoMustGo #NeverForgetKE #FagiaWote #MwanzoMpya #Justice4OurMashujaaz

The claim that someone can kill themselves by repeatedly banging their head on a wall is pure fiction. Medically, it’s almost impossible you’d pass out from pain or trauma long before causing fatal damage. Globally, less than 0.01% of suicides involve blunt head trauma, and even those are deeply questionable. If that’s the story being sold in a police cell death, it’s not just suspicious, it’s insulting.

Albert Ochieng Was Beaten to Death” Mortuary Sources Dispute Police Narrative Eyewitnesses who viewed the body of Albert Ochieng at the mortuary are painting a disturbing picture quite literally. According to multiple sources, his body bears clear signs of having been brutally beaten, with visible injuries consistent with blunt force trauma. There are also defensive wounds, strongly suggesting he fought back before dying. What’s more concerning is that the condition of his body contradicts the official version of events given by both the OCPD and OCS earlier that morning. Police had claimed that Albert injured himself while in custody and later died while being rushed to Mbagathi Hospital.

Albert Ojwang's brutal murder in the hands of the police officers has revived the painful wounds of the tens of GenZs who continue to be killed by security agencies by the Ruto Administration. In the strongest terms possible, I condemn this cowardly act by the killers and call for speedy investigations. Culprits must be brought to book. The Deputy Inspector General of Police Mr. Eliud Lagat is the complainant, and the one who ordered the arrest in the alleged 'crime' that Ojwang committed was making a fair comment on his social media account on Mr. Eliud Lagat. He must take full responsibility for this murder. This is the same Eliud Lagat in charge of Police Cells. He is the same Eliud Lagat who ordered Police to withdraw from a church service in Mwiki on Sunday, 6th April 2025, to allow for goons to attack me and congregants. Suspending junior officers at Central Police station is hoodwinking Kenyans. For any meaningful investigations to be done, Mr. Eliud Lagat must be suspended immediately. DIG Eliud Lagat is personally operating Kamukunji Police Station and Central Police Station without the knowledge of police IG. People are complaining that those two stations have become the new torture chambers. That is the reason Albert had to be moved from Homa Bay to Central Police Station in Nairobi. To the family of Albert and the people of HomaBay County, friends of Albert and the people of Kenya, especially the GenZs, I stand with you in seeking justice for Albert, whose murder has fingers pointed to this cowardly regime. What have the young people, small children done to deserve these macabre killings? What have the parents done to lose their children in the hands of this dictatorial regime? There has been no worse mutilation of our freedoms in Kenya than under this regime. It is now clear that the so-called Broad-based Government is Blood-Based Government whose engine is powered by the blood of GenZs. It was formed after the blood of young people was splashed in the streets, and it continues to survive on this. The beneficiaries are quiet as the young people get brutally murdered. Mr. President, leave our children alone. You swore by the Holy Bible to protect the lives and property of Kenyans. William and your cabal, how many gallons of blood do you want to be okay? Albert has never met a wall before getting into central police? Kenya is not a mafia state! Genesis 4:10 The LORD said, “What have you done? Listen! Your brother’s blood cries out to me from the ground."

If you are a civil servant or a teacher, The government is struggling to remit your monthly loan repayments & SACCO deductions, — but very fast in deducting PAYE, NSSF & Housing Levy.
