I don’t know if I am wrong but there’s this thing I USED TO do, I usually prefer to give a man a lift than a woman 🙈 On my way to work, I usually pass by a place where some people stand to wait for taxis. When I get there I only pick men to give lift. Before you crucify me, here is my reason. I know that women are more likely to get free rides over a man. Most men will prefer to give women lift than a man. Also, men who don’t have cars usually don’t even expect to get a lift from other men. So I let the other men with cars who will pick give the women lifts to pick the women, while I help the men who don’t have hope for free rides. Now I don’t segregate and I pick whichever, but do you think my reason is reason enough?

I totally agree with your point. A relationship that only sparkles when the wallet is full isn't built on love; it's just a transaction. If the foundation is that hollow, there really isn't much of a future to hold onto. However, saying disrespect is unforgivable might be taking it a step too far. Forgiveness is actually a vital part of any real relationship. Think of it this way: if there were never any mistakes or "sins" between two people, there would be no room for the grace of forgiveness to strengthen the bond. It’s through navigating those low points that you find out what a relationship is actually made of.

Your problem is that you think it is okay to be disrespected by your wife because things are not okay financially. That is the problem with money centred relationship. You are not a victim. You'll wake up when you decide.

If both of you are genuine Christians who abstain from premarital sex, you won’t have to worry about sex in marriage at all. You’ll be fully content with whatever your spouse has to offer, because neither of you will have unrealistic expectations shaped by past experiences. Only people whose sexual meters have already been broken...by multiple partners or premarital hookup would look at what you bring to the marriage bed and call it "too low."
