Austin Spurs head coach Scott King has been named the 2024-25 NBA G League Coach of the Year in a vote by NBA G League’s 31 head coaches and general managers. With King at the helm, Austin finished with a 22-12 record and the No. 2 seed in the Western Conference for the NBA G League Playoffs presented by Google Pixel. King will receive the Dennis Johnson Trophy, named for the late Hall of Famer Dennis Johnson, a star NBA guard and NBA G League head coach. He is the 2nd Austin Spurs coach to win the award (Quin Snyder, 2008-09). Westchester Knicks head coach DeSagana Diop and Stockton Kings head coach Quinton Crawford finished second and third in voting, respectively.
