My heart is fine. The video circulating of me asking for prayers is from a decade ago. It’s click bait. I Love the love and concern but I’m totally ok!

Seen a lot of conversation about how predatory the American medical system is. So I will weigh in. I ended up going to the ER about 2 weeks ago for crippling pain. Turned out to be a ruptured ovarian cyst. I was there for MAYBE 4 hours. My bill? $13,500 dollars. Because I'm uninsured (by choice, that shit is a SCAM), the hospital dropped my bill down to $8,100 and some change as an "uninsured" discount. For starters, $13,500 for a 4 hour hospital visit is insane as it is. But the fact the hospital can wipe $5,000 off the bill "just because" should show you how utterly fucked this system is. And to be clear - $8,000 is still an absolutely insane sum of money when all these people did was scan my stomach and give me some pain killers. On my itemized bill, my CT scan was 7k. The iodine they used was $900. Just being in the ER room alone was $2,500. We phoned the hospital to haggle. They dropped the price by $20. Normal people can't survive this shit. I do okay and $8,000 is still an INSANE chunk of money out of my savings. Anyone who argues this isn't a disgusting, predatory system is crazy. And it is even crazier that Americans accept this. And for those of you who argue this is the free market, I need you to be quiet. There can never be a true free market here when government and insurance have their creepy little fingers in this pie. People shouldn't go bankrupt trying to pay medical bills. This has to change.

This was my childhood bedroom. My strongest memory of childhood was being about 12 as puberty set in and my mental health shattered. I got my father‘s gun, got on my knees on the third tile next to the bed and tried to pull the trigger. I failed school that year, was held back. I still have scars from all the cutting I did. I think it’s hard for non-trans people to understand just how devastating severe gender dysphoria is for a child. I am astonished I survived.

@BriannaWu @Phil_I_Long Would you take that opportunity for challenge/suffering/growth from a child like you? Maybe we teach children how to exist/grow in adversity vs take all of it from them…even chance at life?

@Phil_I_Long I exist. I deserve a life of dignity, and like many people with significant trauma, I’ve come out of it a stronger person. But no child should have to grow up like i did.

@BriannaWu …p.s that’s a selfish motivation on my part. Just want to say you’ve been a beacon of rationality and nuanced thinking in polarized times. Also…is it possible we decide to come into each lifetime to experience/learn/grow thru challenge and suffering?

Just keep telling the truth. When I got canceled, I didn’t have anyone or anything left. Then I started telling the truth about how I got canceled, how I deprogrammed from wokeism and how it all ruined my life. For months nobody saw my posts, except for my cancelers who continued to try to get me to leave the internet or worse. Then I went viral. My follower count grew. I built my career from scratch. I started talking to people online. I met up with them. Now my best friend and my boyfriend are from X. I have a career again. I have a social life. I’m still working on building the life I want, but I’m no longer scared to tell the truth in order to have it. That’s freedom.

Flying a Black Hawk over the Virginia Beach oceanfront, before my life took a different course. Before the trans military ban, before the viral conspiracy. Before all the crosswinds pushed me to a new heading. Flying taught me that you don’t control the wind, only how you prepare and react to it. Some chapters end, but the lessons stay with you.

I am biding my time while all the big "podcasters" wipe one another out with their bizarre rivalries. Will then step out of a carriage on the fields of carnage, wielding a platinum scepter, in ruby slippers. It's a plan.

@BriannaWu Omg Brianna 😭😭😭 Im so sorry! They wanted you. May I ask, how does your personal spirituality, if any, inform u about the situation? My own spirituality is still unclear but it where I first go to see if there’s meaning/purpose/explanation for my hardest life experiences.

Reading the obscenely detailed Catholic Church records about my adoption is radicalizing me towards pro natalist public policies. My dad, who is employed by the Navy, does not make enough money to eat, much less to pay to have a baby delivered. My pregnant mother is skipping meals and eating only carbs. They are trying to get an OB to look at me and lying to the hospital about being able to pay for the delivery. Catholic services comes in, offers to pay for it all if they give me up for adoption. They’re crying at the hospital, struggling about giving me up. And eventually leave me with the foster care system crying and heartbroken. Their last words are, “See you soon.” Their logic was I would have a better life. Of course, the family they left me with threw me away.

Neither of these men are married or have kids. Both are simply obsessed with their own personal perfection and optimization. There is nothing impressive about a single man with no kids sleeping well and being fit. Show me a man with young children, a full time job, disrupted sleep, who works out regularly, eats healthy, trains Jui Jitsu, with a muscular body… THIS is impressive. THIS requires extreme discipline.

Chris Williamson just shared his "nuclear" sleep stack that's quietly changing his life—and Andrew Huberman breaks down exactly why it works: If you're lying in bed at 2 a.m. scrolling or staring at the ceiling, this 4-minute protocol combo might be the fastest way to shut your brain off without pills. The two killer techniques Williamson swears by: 1. The Mind Walk (visualization on steroids) - Imagine walking a route you know perfectly (your house → front door → street) - Do it with insane detail: feel the shoehorn, hear the key turn, feel the door handle, pressure of the pavement - It's like reading fiction for your nervous system—engages the brain just enough to stop problem-solving loops, but not enough to keep you awake 2. Resonance breathing with the Ohm stone lamp - Bedside lamp with induction-charging stone that has a built-in FDA-cleared HRV sensor - Hold the stone → 3/6/9/12-minute guided sessions with silent tactile vibration (no sound, no light, partner-safe) - Guides you into true resonance frequency (max vagal tone) → the stone knows when you hit it - Williamson calls it “the sickest” sleep tool he’s ever used—currently in stealth (ohmhealth, not widely available yet) Huberman adds the neuroscience: Looking down + eyelids lowering activates parasympathetic circuits and deactivates wakefulness-promoting brainstem nuclei. It’s literally pedaling the sleep pedal while shutting off the alertness arm. Williamson: “Some days you need the adventure story (mind walk), some days you need the physiological hammer (resonance breathing). Stack them and I’m cross-eyed into sleep.” Already trying one of these? Or is your nighttime routine still a war zone?

It is astounding that Paramount spent over 100 million dollars producing Starfleet Academy. The worst television produced in the streaming era and it isn't even questionable at this point. The only thing that truly worries me is the writers of this show are allowed to drive, vote, eat with anything sharper than a spork, and walk around free among us without supervision because they are a danger to themselves and others.

Talked to the Catholic Church this morning. They are going to pass along a letter to my biological parents - if they are still alive. This is probably too honest, but I just can't help but speak from the heart. I've got to bet that they are wired the same way. These are the photos I chose. Hey! So, really no non-awkward way to do this, so I’ll just say it. I’m reaching out because I'm working to open my adoption records, and the agency you worked with in 1977 has offered to pass along a letter.  Sorry, it’s weird for me too. I’m not writing with huge expectations or pressure. But you are a part of my life I’ve wanted to understand for a long time, and I didn’t want to wait any longer to connect. A bit about me. I live in Massachusetts and work in politics and technology. I’ve been married to a wonderful man for seventeen years. I’ve done really well! I have a great house, a wild career and my work takes me around the world doing media. I love to run, and I’m ridiculously tall and thin. (Thanks for those genes!) Guess there’s no way to introduce myself without explaining why I’m not your son. I knew from a very young age that I should have been a girl, and I transitioned as an adult. My adoptive family didn’t take any of this well, and they did disown me. I have not seen them for 20 years, and it's been very difficult going through life with no family. I share it simply because it’s part of my story and I want to be honest from the start. I also want to say, I’m not angry at you for giving me up. I’ve read enough about the pressures of this era. You could not have known what I would be facing, and although emotionally I had little support, the financial security of that home did give me the skills and education to have a successful life. If you’d be open to exchanging a few emails or messages, I think we’d both have fun! I mean, what have you been up to for 48 years? Have to be stories! Either way, I hope you’re well. I want you to know I’ve built a life and I’m doing okay. I like to think the spark in me that made me able to survive difficult things came from you. Even though I don’t know you yet, I do love you, and I’m proud to be your child. I hope we can speak soon. Brianna
