the majority of my practice has nothing to do with exhibitions, fairs, or acquisitions. case in point: when i’m not in studio, i’m often in classrooms or lecture halls or on zoom, giving presentations and holding workshops, engaging in messy, difficult, necessary conversations about our techno-existential reckoning. today, for example, i returned to Monument Lab, where i was a 2025 fellow, to speak on poetic intelligence and share insights from more than a decade of inquiry into what it means to be human in a more-than-human world. such experiences shape my work in profound ways; each time, i discover new ideas, new ways of thinking. i always leave with the wheels turning. i’m grateful that this dimension of my practice has been part of my interrogation of AI from the very beginning, and am thankful for all the productive interactions over the years. i couldn't engage with these tools in good conscience without this work as both foundation and guiding purpose. too much is at stake.
