@DrPaulSalmon @HFES @HFandSTS @CRIT_App In the UK the Highway Code changed recently with regards to cyclists. My anecdotal experience is that a lot of people who cycle know about these changes, a lot of people who don’t, don’t!

@RP_Kruizinga @RealMattLucas @Burakk_Cinar @DCA_Design One of the interesting things for me is how the approach still works today, we have some great new tools (like VR), but the idea of creating a physical mock-up and getting stakeholders to review it is a critical part of the design process

@RealMattLucas @Burakk_Cinar LOL, very funny. If anyone is wondering. The guy around 0:56 is legendary British designer David Carter who designed the trains, standing in the mockup his company (@DCA_Design) build.

@DrPaulSalmon If the analysis is going to be reused by others, or shared with a regulator, then there is huge value in modelling in a standardised way; however, if it’s for the learning in small group to inform a decision at a point in time - then it may be more efficient to adopt bespoke way

@DrPaulSalmon Great question, my two-cents worth is that the decision is informed (1) why the system is being modelling, and (2) whether the analysis will be reused…

An interesting (and longstanding) debate that spanned both days of #EHF2022 was that around whether #HFE methods should be used in a standardised and consistent manner or can be modified to suit analysis/project needs. There are good arguments on both sides... (1/4)
