At focusbinary.com, we don't just build your app, but we also analyze your database query performance and review how your data is designed. Because a poorly designed schema or unoptimized queries will slow your apps as your data grows.

Most apps are slow not because of bad code, but because of bad database design.

Before: Go + Next.js / Rails, RabbitMQ, cron, Postgres Now: Next.js + Supabase Supabase handles almost everything and it's less to maintain 👍

AI is great for coding, but don’t trust it blindly, feel free to share if you have another method 💪

To make sure everything works properly, my usual workflow looks like this: - Create an Agents[.]md file so the AI understands the project and its conventions - After creating a pull request, use another AI to review it - Run the tests - Finally, do a manual review

AI can make developers 10x faster, but did you notice it also makes pull request reviews harder?

Stack is like your short‑term memory for local variables inside a function, super fast and cleaned up automatically, while the heap is the long‑term storage for objects you share across your program. --- Follow me for more software engineering insights 💪

Sometimes the best way to get things done is not to think too much. You just try to focus on the next small task in front of you, and finish it one by one. -- Follow me for more insights 💪

The Cashflow Quadrant explains how people earn money: - E (Employee) has a job - S (Self-Employed) owns a job - B (Business Owner) owns a system - I (Investor) let money work for them. As a software engineer, I’ve been in E (full-time dev) and S (freelance/agency), and now I’m bootstrapping my way into B by building products and systems that can run without me 💪 How about you?

Common data structures, explained in one picture 👇 If you understand these six: - Array - Linked list - Stack - Queue - Tree - Graph You already understand the building blocks of most software we write. --- Follow me for more software engineering insights.
