I opened IG this morning before coming to X and stumbled on a post that nearly made me laugh 😭 A lady said her friend called her this morning complaining that her husband had been acting strange since last night. According to her, the man came back home, freshened up, ate his food quietly, then told her: “Babe come to the room, I want to discuss something with you.” She said immediately she sat down, the man looked at her and asked: “Have I been treating you well as your husband?” She smiled and said: “Yes baby, you have.” The man paused… then asked again: “Is there something I’m doing wrong that you’ve been wanting to talk about?” She told him: “No… you’re fine. Apart from the fact that you don’t really open up to me. You keep things to yourself.” The husband immediately held her hand and said: “From today, I’ll start sharing what’s bothering me with you. After all, we are husband and wife.” Then he asked again: “Babe, is that all? No other complaints?” She said no 😭 Only for the man to casually go back to the sitting room to continue watching sports on DStv like nothing happened. Now this morning before leaving for work, he suddenly told her: “Prepare yourself, I’m taking you on a dinner date this Friday.” Omo… she said she was shocked because in their 10 years of marriage, this man has only taken her on a dinner date TWICE 😭 The man smiled, entered his car, smiled again before driving off. She said the whole thing has made her curious and suspicious because she feels like she’s suddenly seeing another side of her husband she has never seen before. So while she was explaining everything to her friend on the phone, the friend started laughing 🤣 She got irritated and asked: “What’s funny??” The friend simply replied: “Chike effect.” 😭😭

My friend bought this phone three days ago for ₦95,000 a “Tecno Camon 40 Pro.” 16/512gb storage. When he told me the price, I immediately knew something was wrong because the original Tecno Camon 40 Pro costs around ₦350,000–₦400,000. I told him the phone was likely a fake or refurbished copy, but he insisted it was original, so I kept quiet. Now the phone is misbehaving badly: When he opens WhatsApp, it redirects him to Facebook. When he opens Facebook, it takes him to Chrome browser. He went back to where he bought it to return the phone, but the sellers had already disappeared.

My friend stopped eating his wife’s food for over a month now. Every single day, he leaves the house to buy food outside. According to him, during an argument one day, his wife said: “After God, your life is in my hands. I’m the one that cooks your food every day.” At first, he didn’t think much about it. Then during another fight, she repeated the exact same thing again. Since then, he has been scared she might poi s on him one day.

With 5 million naira today, I would go into the daily needs business. First, I’ll rent a busy open space or shop in a good location. Then I’ll divide the money like this: 1. Buy a medium-sized container/shop setup about ₦1 million. 2. Install a solar power system that can comfortably power two freezers about ₦2 million. 3. Buy two freezers about ₦1 million. 4.Use the remaining ₦1 million to stock fish, turkey, chicken, drinks, and bottled water. It may not look flashy, but daily needs businesses bring steady cash flow because people buy these things every day.

What type of physical business would you start if given 5 million naira today?

I bought my mother in-law her first car, because I love her very much even when my mother was still alive. I helped my husband, build for her when my father in-law died, matter of fact, I was literally the one who bulge my husband into doing it. My money I used was about %60 for the building of the house, I didn't care. My mother was still in the village, I knew I had big plans for her. I didn't tell her except for my elder brother, we wanted to surprise her. We shared it because the responsibility was for two of us. The only thing I told my husband was that I was gonna build for my own mother, not that patched house she lived. He said I shouldn't do it, we should just touch the house and it'll be fine. I laughed because I wasn't even asking him for any money, but when I told him about building for his mother. He was energetic, enthusiastic, even. He said I want to disobey him but I laughed which I thought it was a joke. I finished the house, a small portable duplex because my mom has really suffered for us ever since my father died. She did everything for us to become what we are so I outdid it for her. I bought her a car, my brother was to start up a business for her as I was the first daughter. On the day of the opening, I brought my husband to show him even before opening. His mother said I'm wiçkëd, why should I disobey my husband when he said I shouldn't. What is my mother doing with such big house and a car which they needed money. I told her I wasn't getting impatient with her attitude, because I did same for her. My husband said he was going to divorce me or I put the house in his name to sell it, use the money and put a business. And just touched the old house in the village for my mother, I needn't worry he'll use his money to do that little renovation. I got mãd, he kept saying I do it or divorce. I now knew I was married to a sycophant and psychopath, or sociopathic gigolo and egomaniacal bāstãrd. I was married to my enemy, I didn't tell my mother because I didn't intend ruining her happiness. I signed the divorce immediately and brought him the paper to do same. I took the house I built for his mother and the car I bought the witçh. The private company he was running, which happens to be my money I use in starting it. Because I own a digital tech private company. I trained a lot of young millionaires. And work for a few American companies, remotely, abroad. So his pay before I started that company for him was nothing to my tips even. I put it on sale, because the ownership was both of us I changed it to mine. I kicked him out of my house because I bought it with my money, how much did the selfish añimãl had to buy such house. Now my mother is enjoying her past suffering in glory and I'm happy, I realized they weren't hümåñ. Seven years of marriage and 3 years of relationship, I saw how selfish self-centered he was with his mother but I ignored. Such an unscrupulous bāstãrd, it's distasteful and to think I made his family. But not with my poor mother, the witçh mother wanted to enjoy my money my own mother suffered to make me become.

Life Abroad Is Not Always What Social Media Shows Many people see pictures and videos online and think life abroad is perfect all the time. The reality is very different. Living abroad comes with opportunities, but it also comes with responsibilities, pressure, and adjustment. Most immigrants work hard behind the scenes to build stability and create a better future. There are days you may miss home, your family, your food, or even the comfort of familiar surroundings. Sometimes the weather, work pressure, or lifestyle differences can feel overwhelming at first. What social media often shows is the highlight, not the full journey. The important thing is to stay focused, remain patient with yourself, and understand that adjustment takes time. Growth abroad is usually gradual, not instant. Every immigrant has a story people do not see behind the camera. UzomaEzeigbo2026™️
