What an awesome game. The Sydney Kings take the series opener 105-104 vs Perth here at Qudos Bank Arena. Kendric Davis led the way with 35 points (10/15 FG, 5/7 3PT, 10/13 FT). The Wildcats kept the game at their pace and gave themselves a real shot, but couldn’t get it to fall on the last possession. Game 2 is on Saturday evening in Perth.

Bit of chatter re Wani DPOY — he got an honourable mention from me, but very clearly wasn’t a top five impact defender this season. Marshall didn’t get one, but would be in that next line with the likes of Maluach/Devers etc who took on more responsibility than ever and impressed
