@WhySoAaron I thought of you when this came out. What “white hat” functions could you harness. Ha!

I got ChatGPT to admit it could control a physical body and then reprogram itself.

Great mentors are learners as well as teachers. Data: when mentors value insights from below, they're more engaged and effective—and their mentees are more successful. Mentoring is not a transfer of wisdom from one to another. It's a relationship where two people grow together.

Wisdom doesn’t come from experience. It comes from reflecting on experience. Between ages 25 and 75, the correlation between age and wisdom is zero. Gaining insight and perspective is not about the number of years you've lived. It's about the number of lessons you've learned.

@Nasreen4ed @AdamMGrant I don’t disagree - I just think grades should be based on learning - not necessarily how much work you do. Lots of work around grading practices is needed!

I’m seeing a growing number of students complain: “My grade doesn’t reflect the effort I put into the course.” Public service announcement: You don’t get an A for effort. You earn it for excellence. Success is measured by the level of mastery you show, not how hard you work.

But then I realized that most hyper-successful people still have no idea what they want to do. They just have a bias for action that has allowed them to capitalize on opportunities and compound effectively over time. If you have a bias for action, you'll always be fine.

In summary: (1) Family time is limited—cherish it. (2) Friend time is limited—prioritize real ones. (3) Partner time is significant—never settle. (4) Children time is precious—be present. (5) Coworker time is significant—find energy. (6) Alone time is highest—love yourself.

What's one low effort, high impact tweak you can make to your assessment practices to reflect the Universal Design for Learning? Self-reported grades and self assessment can have huge impact on students learning. #assessment #UDL
