So I didn’t wear makeup today and nothing bad happened. Will try again tomorrow and report results. Today’s results to my hypothesis could’ve just been an outlier.

Stress can do weird things to your body. I sometimes just need to remind myself - 1. Nothing is as bad as it seems. 2. Learn to quit worrying about things I can’t control. 3. It could always be worse so be grateful.
