@normalhuman210 Even in the same series, when Zuko returns from his exile, he is reinstated as heir despite still being weaker than Azula because the fact that he supposedly "killed the Avatar" was a matter of glory, not strength.

@normalhuman210 The only thing that really determined that you couldn't be a fire lord was your gender, and if you didn't have fire control, for example, canonically according to the Roku books, Azula would always be below the line of succession for being a woman.

all powerscaling sucks but when people powerscale zuko it makes me laugh. huge part of his story is how much he sucks compared to other royal firebenders.... the thing that makes him a "good" firebender is not his strength it's his spiritual understanding of firebending

Lo más triste es que el tema no se limitaba a Zuko y Azula. Iroh y Ozai, Sozin y Zeisan y hasta Zoryu con Chaejin... tantos hermanos que unidos habrían sido imparables, enfrentados por la crueldad de un sistema que quería "criar al líder más fuerte".

Thinking about how Mai and Zuko decide to only have one child, Izumi. Zuko grew up seeing how his father pitted him against Azula and wanted to avoid toxic sibling rivalry. Mai saw how love was conditional and children were used as political pawns. They loved Izumi so much.
