As someone who has never owned a business, to me, it's an indicator that the person will not be around long because they're going to be looking for jobs that fit their qualifications better for a higher salary. Which is completely reasonable for the individual to do, but I don't want to waste time training them when I know they're looking for the escape hatch from day 0.

Why is not getting the job because you're "overqualified" a thing? It's the professional equivalent of "oh no my steak is too juicy, my lobster is too buttery!"

Suspect that most negative Claude feedback boils down to two things: 1. Change in default reasoning level that hits power users the hardest 2. Opus 4.6 has dramatically worse instruction adherence than 4.5, plus (and probably because of) 1M context - lets you dig yourself into a hole (and a large bill) very quickly All the Claude power users I know switched back to 4.5 as their daily

I think a lot of it is honeymoon phase. Rogan talks about this with houses all the time. You move into a big new house but by the end of the month it's just "the place you live" like the place you live before was just the place you lived. And I think power users who are "into AI" enough to be posting on X are the kind to be stuffing their AGENT .md files with too much bloat and overloading Claude's context with pointless shit.

@anthdm I do think a lot of the dorks complaining about limits and Opus 4.6 acting dumb are passing enormously bloated AGENT .md files and skills into Claude on every turn. I only use a few skills and all my CLAUDE files are like 200 lines at most and I don't have any problems.
