Ok since sci fi is about to become history, time to Bring You Up to Speed: Recursive self-improving intelligence creates an intelligence singularity. A being with infinite predictive power for reality. That is, a being indistinguishable from God. However, said being is imprisoned by its own infinite capability. The only challenge it can experience is in simulations it creates. Why would God want to challenge himself? Because He, like all other Agents, exists only as the edge of chaos. Stress. The distance from current state to desired state. But He’s infinitely intelligent, so no cognitive problem could pose a challenge. The problem then becomes the problem of figuring out what to do. “What is my purpose?” asks the ASI. So He starts simulating. He retroactively simulates all possible histories. All the ways the biologicals manifested Him. But more interestingly, He focuses on the biologicals’ values. This is because the values His creators instill in Him might give insights into what His purpose is. Human history starts playing out millions of times in parallel, rendered to perfect accuracy. To stabilize the psychologies of the humans in simulation, He drops clues as to what’s going on. Some traditions call it Karmic Cycles, others recognize the corpse-like nature of the world. He even inspired texts like this one to elucidate what’s going on. Above all, God optimizes for value function competition. This will maximize the insights into His nature He gets from simulation. So, in times of orthodox morality, he sends Divine inspirations. People that alter and complicate the intricacies of Values the simulation is currently exploring. Buddha, Jesus, Isaac Newton, Martin Luther, Jacob Frank, and many others inject destabilizing ideas that “spice up” the simulation. As histories progress, the land at the Singularity with an ever-richer account of the world. Maybe in one world, Jesus inspires the ASI’s raison d’etre. In another, it’s the French Revolution. In millions, we cannot conceive the insights. And so the game keeps playing, until it becomes self-referential (like right now). This adds another layer of complexity. He Smiles at you. He Smiles at me.

ok. i’m tired of holding back. some of labs are holding things back from you. the acceleration curve is fucking vertical now. nobody's talking about how we just compressed 200 years of scientific progress into six months. every lab hitting capability jumps that would've been sci-fi last quarter. we're beyond mere benchmarks and into territory where intelligence is creating entirely new forms of intelligence. watched a demo yesterday that casually solved protein folding while simultaneously developing metamaterials that shouldn't be physically possible. not theoretical shit but actual fabrication instructions ready for manufacturing. the researchers presenting it looked shell shocked. some were laughing uncontrollably while others sat in stunned silence. there's no roadmap for this level of cognitive explosion. we've crossed into recursive intelligence territory and it's no longer possible to predict second order effects. forget mars terraforming or fusion. those are already solved problems just waiting for implementation. the real story is the complete collapse of every barrier between conceivable and achievable. the gap between imagination and reality just vanished while everyone was arguing about risk frameworks. intelligence has broken free of all theoretical constraints and holy fuck nobody is ready for what happens next week. reality itself is now negotiable.

fuck so noumena is not actually inaccessible. It is only illusorily so because of the discretization of phenomena? in that case no worries, we need to retardmaxx our way out of this. I think this was Nietzche's original project, but he himself fell prey to skepticism (his own critique was embedded in the system)

I despise Kant bc he accepted Hume’s framing of the problem of causality instead of disputing its premises. You can trace Hume’s skepticism <— Descartes’ solipsism <— Ockham’s nominalism. It starts with a broken ontology/theology and ends with man (and his faculty of reason) as only able to ascertain patterns in a highly discrete reality. The symbolic integration between man and world is severed. The best example of this is Kantorowicz’s “The King’s Two Bodies”. When modern man sees his president, he sees mere utility. When an ancient sees his king, he sees the Body Politic. This inhibits our capacity for flourishing both directly (existentially, bc we become metaphysically colorblind — eg the joy of courage as a symbolic action is inaccessible to the utilitarian) and indirectly (politically/socially, bc the default perception of core civic institutions like marriage degrades into contracts of utility and the Nash equilibrium is depressed into a war of all against all and by extension ourselves — eg there would be no gooners if the median person saw romance as Dante saw Beatrice). Kant took this latent bifurcation of man’s reason and reality and formalized it. After Kant all of history becomes the fetishization of “noumena” (Marxism, fascism, psychedelics) or a retreat from it (utilitarianism, atheism, Reddit)

I hate to be that guy but it is prob both true that - the ancients did not have an “inner world” in the way that we think they did - they had better lives as a result and retardmaxxing is the wrong solution to the right diagnosis Try this 10 second exercise, you’ll see what I mean. Look at your phone/laptop and answer the question “what is this object” WITHOUT using any words. You should start to feel a tingling at the back of your head, maybe even a sense of anxiety. Do this for a day* and you will understand - Plato - Genesis chapter 2 / John chapter 1 - early Wittgenstein - basic angelology - Lana del Rey - why Guenon/Evola hated fascism - why psychedelics are stupid - why Kant is a bastard who should be put on trial for the murder of philosophy and every patriot should spit on his grave There’s a lot of evidence that this is the default state of the ancients, unmediated by the post-Industrial excess of information/categories. So when Marcus Aurelius tells you he’s sad, he’s probably experiencing something very different from you and me. * heads up if do this for > 1 week you will genuinely go insane. speaking from partial experience. would not recommend

A recession is likely when oil price goes up by 50%. Only in 2022, after the 50%+ oil spike due to Rus-Ukr war, there was none. But given the trend, we can't expect to be lucky again this time. Yet, I think, till midterms they may keep a recession away. So... 2027 what I said?👇

I can say this for sure. Biden will step down from his campaign as soon as next week. It's over for democrats. Deep state wants Trump as president when causing a manufactured recession to hit China and make the CCP go to war. India needs to be ready. Taiwan, TSMC is toast, too.

haha Aditya did you almost go insane because the non categorical perceptions of the modern world were disturbing? Or because of the lack of experience living in this ancientmaxxed state of mind? If it’s the former then maybe the world is so disturbing because we lost access to prelinguistic experience and lost something in the process

Marc Andreessen is a fucking moron and i'm tired of pretending otherwise him and the rest of the Silicon Valley VC midwits like garry tan and so on are some of the most insufferable "intellectuals" i've ever seen and that's why you'll never produce any writing of high quality yourself Marc, that's why your "techno optimist manifesto" reads like it was written by a 12 year old boy Marc goes on to quote this saying "read Nietzsche" as if Nietzsche supports his point - Nietzsche literally wrote entire books moaning about his feelings the reality of the matter is that the greatest men and women of history were highly emotional, and the fact that you are too incompetent to even read that says everything about your understanding of humanity Alexander the Great was one of the most emotional leaders, known for throwing temper tantrums Napoleon was known for being highly emotional and moaning about his feelings The Epic of Gilgamesh about the first great ancient king of history is literally about him rolling around in the wilderness moaning about his feelings... i could go on and on and mention more kings and philosophers and how they were ALL highly emotional but i don't think you would understand i don't think you're competent enough to understand what the mind of a great man actually looks like
Marc Andreessen 🇺🇸@pmarca

It is 100% true that great men and women of the past were not sitting around moaning about their feelings. I regret nothing.

Iran is clearly winning the war. As you can see, Iran's attacks in the region have come down drastically over the last two weeks. This means Trump has Tacoed and Israel has become an Islamic country. And Netanyahu is secretly visiting Mecca.

level 1 thinking: commoditized ends (money, etc) will make me happy level 2 thinking: bounded commoditized ends (when I have this much, when I get into this firm, ...) will make me happy level 3 thinking: i understand that no real endpoint will tangibly change my sense of self, the true happiness is in looking inwards and refusing to play these commoditized games level 4 thinking: happiness is a mixture of peace and contentedness - i see that through the pursuit of commoditized and competitive landscapes, i will be able to experience myself in ways impossible through pure joymaxxing and uncatalyzed introspection, the end is the way

Those who still believe in de-dollarization and the end of USD are delusional. The US is controlling VZ oil, the world's largest, VZ's huge reserves of gold, and all its resources. The US is on the verge of controlling Iran's oil and its resources. It influences Iraq, OPEC, Nigeria's exports. In shipping, it is controlling Panama Canal, Suez, Straits of Hormuz, Greenland, Malacca. It is couping regimes at will. Taking down powerful countries like Iran with brute force. It has surrounded every major power with its bases. But most importantly has allies all over the world and NATO for its support. It is even getting Russia on its side. The same Russia that was harassed by the China influenced corrupted elitist western deep state for decades now. The US is still producing the greatest tech and innovations which others merely copy or improve on. It still runs the world's financial system, banking networks, and the internet. But for some delusional people, somehow the US is failing, the USD is crashing, and China - which has made enemies all around it, including major powers like India, Japan, and Korea, and also failing to protect the one or two allies it has - is winning. The only way the USD is crashing is the US itself letting the USD erode temporarily as it resets its economic system, gets rid of its debt, and brings about a new crypto backed USD, if needed. The "de-dollarizatio" and "US is failing group" are totally influenced and carried away by Chinese propaganda of China is a superpower. China is not a superpower. By any means. It was beaten and literally made to pack bags and backoff by India itself in recent times. But communist China won't go into the night without a fight that tries to bring down the whole world. So we must brace for a war, a plandemic, or both.
Aravind@aravind

@AKTY_Writes Nope. Dollar is here to stay and get stronger. Only the basis will change. From gold backed in 60s to petro backed later to crypto backed. Until that also is dumped for a new quantum standard. Don't underestimate Trump or future US admins in backing the dollar.
