@MiguelDelaney @Kooshykooooooo @ImproperFooty I don’t think the team lady is making much of a dent on the overall wage bill. Bar the two DOF positions everyone else will
Be on standard wages which probably amount to a month of Salah
English

@Kooshykooooooo @ImproperFooty Those are the accounts from before they won it. Also, Liverpool include the entire staff, when no other club does.
English

It’s an unpopular view but Arsenal’s title is the story of considerable overperformance against wealthier opposition - City’s higher wage bill is the equivalent of more than five Sakas
It wasn’t always pretty but it is maximising everything you’ve got

@js_stallard @wendlingere49 Like the right wing government for 14 years before? The boats are not the problem the media would have you believe it’s a tiny % of population
English

@wendlingere49 I hate starmer I'm more right wing but I actually agree with this. People should get what they voted for. I want the whole country to be filled with enough foreign criminals that everyone knows somebody that's been a victim of it so we can get a right wing government to sort it
English

@MattyLine The players will give it everything last game regardless. Cleary nothing slot will say will have an impact on them at this point. If we can’t beat Brentford at home to get champs then we don’t deserve it (we don’t anyway!)
English

@danw8419 But why now? Is this really going to help us win the last game? Qualifying for the Champions League is all that matters. The manager's position can be sorted after that.
English

@MattyLine I think you’re underestimating the influence he has on the group. Look at how many of the squad have liked the post. This isn’t a player slamming the door on the way out. This is somone lighting the fuse to burn down the establishment with the full backing of the squad
English

@danw8419 I don't think the views of a player who is leaving anyway will make a difference to the owners. Even if it did, he could have waited until after the last game.
English

@LBC @HenryRiley1 Won’t vote Tory but happy to vote for the party that has taken on all the ex tories 🤦♂️
English

Caller Martin used to vote Tory.
But he won’t anymore because of the 'problems' they caused for the country.
He tells @HenryRiley1 why he’s now going to vote Reform.
English

@Simon3206639986 @AWG1 @SkyNews Plan to cut 150 billion, defund the nhs and back 0 hour contracts. A party mainly now made of of tories who couldn’t get it right in 14 years won’t be the solution everyone think it will
English

@danw8419 @AWG1 @SkyNews Not a huge fan of most policies but we won't have a country if we dont stop illegal immigration and tackle rising islamism and racism towards jews. A Reform government is needed for one those specific purposes. If we deal with those issues other parties might come back.
English

🗣️ 'I have never seen such rapid changes in vote share.'
The next UK general election could result in a hung parliament, with Reform UK emerging as the largest party, according to elections analyst Professor Michael Thrasher.
The National Equivalent Vote share is an estimate of each party's vote share in the local elections projected into a nationwide vote.

@Simon3206639986 @AWG1 @SkyNews Apart from the stance on immigration have you actually looked at reforms other policies ?
English

@AWG1 @SkyNews British people were in a slumber. We are waking up to what terrible danger islamism plus illegal immigration is doing to Britain. We see jew hate on our streets like its 1930s Germany. Those are the bad guys. You're worrying about the British people when its the invaders to fear
English

@funoxfordjim @prodnose 🤦♂️ film was invented in the 19th century! Late 1890’s or something
English

@ToryFibs @GlynnJo51387208 He also said would raise capital gains. A lot of business owners spend year building for an exit which is often the only value. To be clear I like Zac and a lot of policy but some of the economics do worry me
English

@GlynnJo51387208 He was proposing to cut Business Tax for small businesses as well as reducing their National Insurance. It’s unfortunate that you oppose that Glynn.
English

@IDWIW123 @ShepherdWales @PolitlcsUK @guardian It’s not as simple as that. They have to prove a rental ratio for the mortgage lender. If not achievable many would evict the tenant and sell, which would cost the tenant more on moving cost than they would protect by freezing rent. A sensible option would be a controlled raise
English

@ShepherdWales @PolitlcsUK @guardian You do realise that running a business involves a risk of making a loss? Unthinkable I know.
English

🚨 NEW: Rachel Reeves is considering banning landlords from raising rent on private homes for a year due to the Iran War
[@guardian]
English

@Nicoledso @tomorrow28170 @PolitlcsUK @guardian 50k deposit for a start , plus 5% second pretty tax. Plus tax on the gross rental income at your own income band. That’s all before you paid for maintenance, empty months, various checks and certificates. Add onto that the increasing mortgage cost….
English

@tomorrow28170 @PolitlcsUK @guardian They end up with an asset. Paid for by someone else. That’s their profit. Pay a 20k deposit end up with a 200k house paid for by someone else.
English

@AnfieldIndex We are worse! At least at the start we where fighting last 20 and winning games
English

@OGBCollins @anLFCfan @HenryJackson87 Till the end of the season he would get the fire going. I agree his managerial prowess is not at the level but getting some fight into the team to get champs he would be great. Potentially then a number 2 to Alonso ?
English

@HenryJackson87 Gerrard would be the wrong call. Think Slot’s time is up but it would still smack of Shearer going to Newcastle, Lampard to Chelsea.
I love Stevie but we’re not Make A Wish, and his managerial career doesn’t remotely justify it.

BREAKING
Keir Starmer has given the US the green light to mount 'defensive' airstrikes against targets in Iran from Diego Garcia and RAF Fairford
Starmer is delineating between the initial, offensive attacks by the US and Israel - which the UK did not support after deciding doing so would be unlawful - and 'defensive' action to stop wave after wave of drone and missile strikes across the Middle East
'Our partners in the Gulf have asked us to do more to defend them. And it’s my duty to protect British lives.
'We have British jets in the air as part of coordinated defensive operations which have already successfully intercepted Iranian strikes.
'But the only way to stop the threat is to destroy the missiles at source – in their storage depots or the launchers which are used to fire the missiles.
'The US has requested permission to use British bases for that specific and limited defensive purpose.
'We have taken the decision to accept this request to prevent Iran firing missiles across the region, killing innocent civilians, putting British lives at risk and hitting countries that have not been involved
'The basis of our decision is the collective self-defence of longstanding friends and allies, and protecting British lives. This is in line with international law and we are publishing a summary of our legal advice'
