An editor in the @CBSNews DC bureau asked me about combat rescue. I told him about the pits of hell Navy Corpsman will wade through to get to a patient. About the Air Force PJs and their motto “That Others May Live” and I choked up a bit thinking of them trying to save Seth.

15 years ago today was my first day in combat. It also marks the sacrifice of Lance Cpl. Charles Seth Sharp, who was a member of my infantry unit (Echo Company 2nd Battalion, 8th Marines) during Op. Khanjar - @MartinSmithDocs of @frontlinepbs was embedded with us. Miss you, Seth

@marclamonthill @TvshkaLusa_ The only others I'd consider are Kareem, Walton, Russell and Pete Maravich. The single-most dominant I ever saw was David Robinson, but that wasn't often against great competition.

I heard @robertmays describe this coming draft as one where teams will have to make some "compromises," particularly in the first round.
